  1. That last game is in the past. It's March. Time to lock down the bank and focus. Every. Game. Matters. Sunday: We play for our seniors The following Sunday: We play for a second round bye in the Big Ten tournament March 15: We play to lock in a better seed in the NCAA tournament March 16: House money March 21/22: History made March 23/24: Keep the good times rollin'
  2. Very much a "I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed." type of outcome tonight. Implications to NCAA seeding, Big Ten tournament bye games, and momentum late in the season.
  3. Senior Day - 78 Freshman Knight - 65 6
  4. Well... tomorrow is March. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/28879551/nebraska-adds-2-football-players-undermanned-basketball-team-big-ten-tourney
  5. TWO THINGS THIS HHCC ROUND: 1) Score prediction for Nebraska vs. Rutgers (as usual). 2) (BONUS -5 points) Predicting the exact number of Nebraska players who played 1+ minutes (1 or more) with zero turnovers during this game (e.g. I am looking for an answer like "10").
  6. Desperation shots in the final 2+ minutes of this game.
  7. Is this the part where the NCAA selection committee picks Ohio State over Nebraska to make the dance?
  8. Same rules don't apply in mid-March. We'll be fine. Those Big Ten teams that get the cheap calls don't do so well in the dance.
  9. Major turning point in those last few possessions. Not. Good.
  10. It's about as loud as a Penn State game against a ranked opponent.
  11. Makes sense, suppose I saw that as a crucial point of clarification that impacted the rest of your comment. Just wild to me that (at least just for today) Wisconsin's loss can result in them dropping 2 spots (#5) but tonight's game can move them right back up to #3. But you're right, Wisconsin's remaining schedule is the most at risk for winning out. I'm not concerned with them. Even if we lose 1, Wisconsin is likely to match us. And we have the 2-team tiebreaker over them.
  12. Not cherry-picking. I'm not sure that's the case. If Wisconsin and Northwestern wins out, then Wisconsin gets the #3 seed, Nebraska #4, and Northwestern #5. If either of those teams lose 1, then the three-way tie is no longer in effect and we had advantages over both of them for #3.
  13. This should help: https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/nebraska/men/
  14. Technically, we're only in the driver's seat for 4th place right now. We'll know more tomorrow.
  15. If Northwestern loses to Maryland, then Wisconsin will jump us to #3 without even playing a game. However, I'd hate to be Wisconsin and playing that remaining schedule right now.
  16. There's been 5 in the last 10 seasons. So it's not entirely rare in recent history. I believe a handful of 3-game streaks as well.
  17. Moves us into 4th with the tiebreaker But if Northwestern loses, doesn't that put Wisconsin in 3rd place?
  18. In general... You can get incredible discounts to any major event if you're just looking for a single ticket. It's hard to sell because most people are looking for 2+ tickets, so those selling usually need to sell the one for a lower price.
  19. His aunt is probably writing a complaint to the NCAA committee right now.
  20. That's one way to avoid people from storming the court...
  21. Based on very loose searches, it seems some people think the Mountain West is a 6-bid conference. And I have a very hard time believing that.
  22. Boise is a fascinating one... 0-4 vs. Power 6 teams But 5-5 in Q1 (all Mountain West opponents) 2 Q2 losses, 1 Q3 losses. #31 NET (10 positions ahead of Nebraska).
