  1. You haven't already hit one yet??
  2. Moos after Musselman, Hoiberg, etc. turn down an interview:
  3. It's time to let the Moos loose and shake things up.
  4. It's amazing that we're only down 8...
  5. Can we share some blame on the players who haven't been able to shoot a basket in 3 weeks?
  6. It looks like a classic Doc Sadler scoring drought too.
  7. It's fine. We'll still be in the top 15 in the NCAA for attendance by the end of the season due to tickets sold.
  8. When you win the rebounding game and 50/50 balls, you have a chance to maintain a lead? Interesting concept.
  9. This crowd is feeling more and more like the Doc Sadler era in Bob Devaney as this season goes on...
  10. Yeah it's more so just out of curiosity. I may try to look into that. I don't know how the professional coaching world operates, but I would just imagine that a DIII coach transitioning immediately to P5 would be at a recruiting disadvantage unless they have a very strong network with the right people. Interesting hypothetical nonetheless.
  11. I've wondered about Derrin Hansen, too. Are there any examples of a coach successfully moving immediately from DIII to P5?
  12. Preferably starting this season.
  13. I'm in the "let's just try our best to win some games" mode right now. But if we're talking tournament talk, I'm a little nervous about the "we've built a strong nonconference resume that puts us in the tournament with x-number of conference wins." Arizona State and Oklahoma certainly did just that last year. But I keep hearing talk from the selection committee, post-mortem, about how injuries make you a different team and should be reflected that way. Will we be evaluated more heavily on how we play these final 9+ games?
  14. The Pac-12 is facing an image crisis. Washington is 9-0 in conference play and isn't even ranked in the Top 25. Pac-12, we feel you. We had a rough time last season trying to prove we deserve respect. https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/uw-husky-basketball/unranked-uw-men-get-caught-up-in-pac-12s-image-crisis/
  15. I'm not sure I'm following this. Miles was given 7 years to take this program to whatever heights we could achieve. A 2nd year run to the tournament and facility upgrades didn't inhibit his chance to put his stamp on this program. What do you think our expectations should have been after Year 7?
  16. Twitter is always tricky. You're going to have a lot of people opining on Nebrasketball when they haven't seen a combined total of 20 minutes this entire season. So it's good for general sentiment. I wonder if what you're seeing are the extremes of "want a perennial national championship coach" and Miles apologists.
  17. I have highly unreliable inside sources (local milk delivery man) that they saw Copeland working on homework the night before the injury instead of dribbling a basketball. Where were his priorities?
  18. +1 just for this. Fake rumors have it that Copeland injured himself so that he could focus more on academics this year.
  19. That may have been the case earlier in the season, but if Miles doesn't find a way to get his most talented roster into the tournament, finishes with only 1 NCAA appearance in 7 seasons, and has zero NCAA and zero NIT wins, then you'll start to see some of those "support him until he's let go" fans say "I really liked the guy, but I guess he just couldn't quite get it done for us" and move on to going all in and supporting the next coach.
  20. And now back to your regularly scheduled "Super Bowl" thread...
  21. Shots fired in Lincoln for the Super Bowl:
  22. Why stop there? Miles has had quite the tenure here. Whether you like him as a coach or not, what a guy.
