Nebraska High School Basketball (18-19)
big red22 replied to Huskerpapa's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Omaha Roncalli is way to low. They bring back 90% of their scoring, and Jack Dotzler is a smarter basketball player than Chucky Hepburn. They also have 3 sport athlete Alex Rodgers who is D1 talent for baseball. They are still a talented basketball team even without Dotzler handling the point(Injury in football). With the Orr brothers along with Taiden Red they still will be a threat before Dotzler gets back to win some ball games. -
Not to mention 4 of those are from one team

True as it sits right now, but if the Big 10 chokes again in the Big 10/ACC challenge like we did last year that could all change.

HHCC Game #08 - vs. Illinois (Dec. 02, 4:00 PM CST)

I took a screen shot of the box score 10 minutes into this game and we had 0 assists. That tells me our guys are not playing team ball right now and makes us easy to defend. That stat has got to change moving forward or we are in for a long disappointing season! Roby needs to start playing like he is the best player on our team... Not the 4th option. I don't care that Palmer was All B1G... I don't care that this is Copeland's Senior year... I don't care if this is Glynn's team. Roby needs to start making a statement and stop being a selfless basketball player. ^^^ With that said, the other players need to recognize that in order for us to succeed. Palmer I'm looking at you!

I don't like it... Let me explain why I hate Iowa... I hate them with a passion! With that said 8. Oregon 3-1 (Loss to Iowa 77-69) 25. Syracuse 2-2 (Loss to Oregon 80-65) 28. Iowa 4-0 (Beat Oregon 77-69) ^ No explanation works here other than the formulas are a joke Edit: Forgot to mention Syracuse also lost to Connecticut who is ranked 85th

Yeah considering we have won our games 106-37, 87-35, 80-57 and 85-62... 15 spots is not enough IMO. Our average margin of victory is 41.75, and now the narrative is Texas Tech is our first true test. Yes I heard those exact words on the radio this morning. Was Seton Hall not a test? Give me a break! I do think if we beat Texas Tech, we will get some love. The problem is that it shouldn't take a Texas Tech win to get the love we deserve. I am starting this complaint early, because I know down the road people will have more and more excuses of why we don't deserve this or don't deserve that. It is a vicious cycle that annoys the hell out of me!

Kenpom's formula is a joke. I am so tired of seeing Syracuse and Villanova sitting ahead of multiple teams that deserve to take their place. Villanova got beat by 30+ points to Michigan and then also lost to Furman. Yet they are ranked ahead of teams like Clemson, Nebraska, Texas who are clearly better right now. It is just terrible, and the RPI is even worse yet they are part of the determining factor to get into the NCAA tournament. I am going to keep my word and make my own formula, because your school name ***Cough Cough*** Syracuse should have no relevance in if you make the tournament or not

This is actually a legit question IMO. Copeland and Roby do not scare me, but Palmer does. There was actually a section at the end of the Seton Hall game that was legit very selfish move on Palmer. It was right after Roby came in for his final little run. Palmer was sitting somewhere around 25-27 points, and he passed on feeding Roby for a wide open 3 for an off balance contested 15 foot jumper. In my head I said no big deal, but if we are in a tight game down the stretch Palmer needs to make that damn pass!

The question is who got screwed more Roby or Borchardt? I have to say there were tons of bad calls all one sided too, but we didn't buckle and still won by 20+ Two fouls "need" to be looked at by the NCAA. The 4th foul on Roby and the hustle play by Borchardt -

Didn't know where to post this one, but Texas Tech only beat these guys 59-40 -
Still holding strong as of today

I still don't get how the points work I predicted 82-43 The score ended up being 87-35 So I get 5+8 then 13 * 2 = 39 Chuck Taylor predicted 96-49 Score = 87-35 So I get 9 +14 then 5 * 2 = 33 I guess I have no idea where you got 8 from? Do you subtract 25 points for winning?
