  1. We can now add: NU: Hawkins, Serj, Wagner
  2. He tweeted yesterday that he has decomitted from Marquette.....anybody know if NU is looking at him? He was teammates with Fuller so maybe Nick can work some magic
  3. Dimes...thanks! I'm always interested in seeing who goes and leaves inside the B10 as it impacts us obviously,. Looking at rosters, a lot of teams are fairly young. Penn State losing Frazier hurts NW losing Crawford will hurt a bit Indiana losing Sheehey, Noah will hurt a bit Iowa losing Marble, Osabe and McCabe will sting a bit Wisconsin loses pretty much on Brust. But if Frank leaves, that would hurt them a bit Purdue losing Johnson's hurt a bit. If Hammonds leaves that would really hurt them Michigan just has one senior, but if Nik and GR3 leave that would hurt them obviously MSU losing Payne, Harris and Appling will hurt Ohio State loses its top 3 scorers in Smith, Craft and Ross NU losing Gallegos hurts in some areas, but most our scoring back Minneosta loses one of the Hollins but most are back Illinois loses their 3rd/4th leading scorers in Bertrand and Ekey Maryland fairly young and has a great recruiting class coming in Rutgers I can't think will be very good still Then as we know, most teams in the B10 recruit well. The teams that will be interesting to see will be Ohio State, Michigan, Purude and MSU. I know OSU, Michigan and MSU especially will recruit well, but all 3 will be losing a ton (MU if Nik and GR3 leave). Indiana also will be very interesting to me. Losing Noah I think will really hurt them. They lose 4 of their top 7 scorers.
  4. Oh, looks like Harris is going NBA as well for MSU.
  5. I can't find the thread that talks about players from the B10 or opposing teams that are leaving early, transferrring etc.....I swear somebody started this. I like seeing who is all leaving out of the B10. I know so far: Indiana has lost Noah (NBA) and two other guys are transferring Purdue is losing Johnson Ohio State is losing Ross What else am I missing in the B10? The one's that intrigue me are: Frank "The Tank" at Wisconsin Stauskas and Robinson III at Michigan Hammonds at Purdue What will they do?
  6. That could mean ANYTHING. Not just Terran. We could be "asking" Serj to move on. Somebody could leave....stuff happens. I also think Terran stays. The guy wants to be the man that puts NU on the map and I really believe that. I think he knows with some hard work this team could do very good things next year.
  7. Let's bring Louisville to PBA so Akoy can get a good look at the new arena
  8. Trimmed his list down to: Ohio State Indiana Iowa State Notre Dame Louisville
  9. Leaving West Virginia...6'3 guard that averaged 17.2 PPG. I'm sure would have to sit a year, but could be that scoring guard NU so badly needs.
  10. Holloweell from Indiana also transferring....Funny you started this thread as this was what I came to the board to do. Ha! Always interesting to see who leaves teams that may impact NU.
  11. Have you guys considered reading less Creighton tweets and message boards than most Creighton fans? I don't follow their message board at all, but just the things people have put on here. As for twitter. Its hard to not read it when you follow friends/fans of CU on twitter. They will post things, retweet, etc....Then it comes up on your timeline.
  12. Here is why I have no problem seeing them get embarrassed tonight by 30. If you read twitter, their message board (our message board sometimes) they will TELL you how freaking great they are all year long and how "We can beat anybody in America, and we get no freaking respect." Then a game like this happens where they actually have to PLAY one of those teams they pump their chest about and get killed and they say "Well, we maybe just weren't as athletic as I thought." Blah, blah, blah. I would have loved to see them lose by 50 tonight, but 30 was nice enough. Their fans had a hay day on twitter/message boards/facebook when we got beat. "NU didn't even deserve to get in, played in a weak B10 this season." Then they get beat by twice as much as we did to the same team, we played in a league that has THREE teams in the Sweet 16 (we beat two of them) and they played in a league that has NOBODY still in the tourney. I just get so tired of their fan base pumping their chest all the time demanding "National Respect" but for what? Making it to the dance? What stinks is they will simply always say "Well at least we have won a game in the tourney." I'm curious to see how they do these next few years losing 4 starters the way they do. I'm very hopeful they take a big step back, especially losing a player like Doug (who I respect a TON).
  13. Anybody have any idea how many tickets have been sold by the University to NU fans? Just kind of curious how well our team will be represented. I'm hoping we sold a good number of tickets and the fans are able to be loud for NU. Is it tomorrow yet?
  14. I was just about to post this...you guys are too good at seeing this first This would be the type of guy you look at.
  15. I have never liked Gottlieb. Ever! Does he mention other bubble teams road resumes? Wins at Indiana and MSU are impressive in itself.
  16. Yeah, the Iowa Iowa one is the one that just baffles me. Why do they deserve a higher bid thn a lot of teams? Let's just hope Lunardi is wrong and Palm is right. Remember, Lunardi is an ESPN guy so they pimp him as this "guru" but nobody really knows besides the committee.
  17. You mean besides winning 3 of the last 4 road games right? Yes we started slowly, but this team is learning how to win.
  18. I would think we want Gonzaga. Both by some are considered "bubble" teams. Gonzaga's name may have more pull than BYU for getting a bid if they happen to lose tonight. Here are their resume's. Gonzaga RPI 26, SOS 91 BYU RPI 34 SOS 43 According to Palm he has Zags as an 11 seed and BYU isn't even on there. According to Lunardi he has Zags a 9 and BYU a 12. So according to both, they have the Zags more "safely" in. So I would think we want the Zags to win as they have a better shot at stealing a bid. Another interesting game tonight is North Dakota State vs IPFW. ND State has an RPI of 34. Could they steal a bid if they lose tonight? Possibly. So we want them to win this game and we won't have to worry about that.
  19. I'm sure Shuttlesworth will be all over this (and thank you by the way for doing this!), but I'm just jacked and trying to kill time, think, relax all at once. So looking at some games today that we want to watch... Obviously we need Wichita State to win the Valley today....REALLY big game for bubble teams. NW @Purdue...loser gonna take the #12 seed. I personally would rather see NW win JUST in case we get that 5 seed. Purdue with Hammonds can beat anybody I would think on any given day. Not that NW can't, but not "as likely" Syracuse @FSU....FSU would have a shot to get back in the mix with a win today. Need Syracuse to get this one. St. Louis @UMASS...RPI/SOS with a UMASS win Mercer vs FGCU for a ticket to the dance....go FGCU! LaSalle @St. Joe's....would love to see St. Joe's drop this game at home. Not likely, but would hurt them. Michigan State @Ohio State...Go MSU! Lock us into that 4 seed. Now, we want to get in with a win obviously, but why not have MSU guarantee it for us early. Penn State @Minnesota...Minnesota still has a shot to get in. Let's knock them off the bubble with a home loss Enjoy the day everybody!! 6:30 can't get here soon enough!!!!
  20. I have no clue how Iowa is a lock if they lose early. Their RPI is barely above ours, worse SOS....what the commentators will say is "They have no bad losses." But ending the year 1-5 and now probably worse than us in the RPI? I don't get it.
  21. So far pretty good day for us in terms of bubble teams. I also want some "lower" seeds to lose in case we win we maybe move upa bit. KSU lost and they are struggling and a low seed already. SMU lost again...they will be interesting. Okie State lost so that is good. Wichita State wins which we need them to win tomorrow too Stanford pulls out a win vs Utah by 1. Bummer there. Nova kills GTown which is very good for us Cincy beats Rutgers (RPI/SOS) St. John's beats Marq by 1 (bummer here) Miami beats WF (RPI/SOS) Arkansas getting beat big at half Mizz losing big Oregon losing as of now
  22. I know this has been brought up..... But why is Iowa a "lock" and a 6/7 seed in the dance? Honestly, go look at their schedule, RPI and SOS and tell me why they are this high? There best non-conf wins is vs Xavier who is fighting for an NCAA bid..... Just go look at their schedule and tell me what is so "wow" about it and how they are considered a "lock" to get in? Mind-boggling.
  23. This is going to sound crazy...I was just telling my co-worker this...before every season I print out an NU schedule and write who I think we can beat, lose too. I had NU overall this year as 20-10 (11-7). The way I got 11-7 is different than how we could get to 11-7 with a win Sunday. I had us beating PSU on the road, beating Michigan at home and losing @MSU. Then I had us 2-1 in the tourney early in the year where we went 1-2. Hopefully we can get that win Sunday and my 11-7 would be dead on! I'm always optimistic with this team so my prediction at the time probably looked crazy.
  24. royalfan...here is my only worry about Illinois (and its a long shot obviously). Say they beat Michigan tonight and then win @Iowa to end the year. That makes them 8-10 with a couple nice non-conf wins and some good B10 wins. If they still have Minnesota as "in" and more than likely being 8-10 in the B10, maybe they look at Illinois? Especially considering they would have wins late vs NU, @MSU, vs Michigan and @Iowa. Again, a long shot....but you never know?
