  1. Where can we find our quadrant records? Nevermind. Found it. Also, I believe Bart Torvik's quadrant classifications are a little off...
  2. The last two days have been so blissful. I particularly liked the angsty, sorrow that was Blue Jay Banter. The world is just a little brighter when the Blue is blue. Also, I really enjoyed Jack's show. I hope that think takes off.
  3. S&N Forever!
  4. No, it's been pretty well documented what happened and from what I've been told, those are pretty accurate. Miles asked the refs to enforce the coaches box, when they did, McDermott took exception. We all saw the rest.
  5. My boss is a Creighton alum. He wore purple to work today.
  6. I hear ya, Cip. But I'm soaking all this in a bit and loving every second of it. The team has to turn the page, but I don't just yet. And the team can soak it in a bit, too. I'm actually glad they have finals this week and are forced to take the week off. They spent a ton of energy last week. Get rested up, pick up a 3 more wins before restarting conference play.
  7. This might sound glib, but we wore the red because the players wanted to. Not really anything more complicated than that. I thought it looked great.
  8. lulz. The Blue Jay board said the same thing about that article.
  9. Ballock tried to take a charge vs. Roby early in the game, got to the spot and just started leaning backwards. I'm not sure Roby ever made contact. It was kinda hilarious.
  10. I got it so often when I was a kid I could diagnose myself. My mom never took my word for it, though.
  11. A few thoughts: - We won't shoot like that most nights, but for tonight, it was great. Felt cathartic. Team was locked in from the jump and just didn't give the Jays much room to get back into it. - Palmer was a superstar tonight, even with the foul trouble. - Tom was the difference tonight, though. He was just terrific. If we can bring that more consistently, NU will be really hard to guard. - Glynn was really good tonight. - I'm usually pretty cynical about the whole "they want it more" crowd, but NU was diving after loose balls, even some that weren't all that loose. They were getting seemingly all the rebounds and 50/50 balls. It was one of the scrappiest efforts I think I've ever seen from NU. - Tanner and Brady, though they played sparingly, gave some really good minutes. - Nana, too. - Ballock is really good. He had a career night. Without him, this might have been a 40 point laugher. - This game looked like a gam between a veteran, savvy team and an inexperienced team in it's first road game. - This game felt a lot like 2013 in the reverse. NU didn't get the separation CU did in that game, but CU couldn't miss. That's what it had to feel like for CU tonight. And it was pretty terrific. - I couldn't be the only one that was super nervous when that thing got down to 13 at half? - I like this team a lot. If they can bring this effort, or something close to it more regularly, they're going to be tough to beat. Maybe impossible in PBA. - The Red Zone is vicious. - I really, really wanted 100... - The stats say the Jays were a bad defensive team coming into this thing. The game played out that way. NU really got about whatever they wanted tonight. And they shot it about as well as I've ever seen them do. That's a recipe for what we saw tonight. - The crowd was really great tonight. Well done, everyone. It was number 2 for me, right behind NSS. - I had other thoughts while I was typing this up that I forgot about before I could get them typed out...
  12. #24 Nebraska dominates Creighton 94-75 Huskers LET IT FLY with 14 Threes Crowd dubbed "second loudest only to No Sit Saturday" McDermott can dish it but couldn't take it in the post game after a loss I’m so happy! View full article
  13. I only got to see the second half of the second half. I'll go back and watch the rest of it shortly. Maybe. Probably not. From the sounds of it, Roby, Copeland and Allen all had good games and Roby had a monster dunk or two. - Brady's gonna need to learn how to make a free throw. Was he good at it in high school? (I'm told he wasn't...) - We got a glimpse of Nana and Allen on the floor together. I'd like to see more of that. Nana hit a 3 on the possession I saw. There may have been more of it in the parts of the game I wasn't able to see. - Brady's a really good rebounder. - Untimely time for a scoring drought. Minnesota closes it to 3 on a tough 3 from McBrayer. - Things really went downhill from there... - The questionable T, the missed goaltend and bogus charge call on Palmer and two steals they couldn't control that led to Minnesota lay-ins. That's all in the last 10 minutes of the game. That's at least 8 points that shouldn't have gone Minnesota's way. - They'll learn from this. But this is a bitter pill to swallow. Tough, tough loss.

  15. I think he's gonna be an elite defender in short order. Maybe as soon as next year.
  16. I haven't seen every minute of every game this year and haven't had a chance to watch much of warmups, but had he taken a jumper during a real game? I can't think of one. Everything I've seen has been at the rim or free throw line, I think.
  17. Interesting...I thought it was older than that...
  18. Yeah, it's super weird. It happens sometimes when you try to retro fit those old arenas for new technology, which is what I'm guessing happened there.
  19. IDK how we got on this conversadion, but the court looks fine to me. Both in person and on TV. Also, Indiana's court has some weird white balance issues.
  20. Bart Torvik would project us as a 2 seed going into the B1G Tournament if that were to play out that way. Mred would project NU to be a 3 seed in the B1G tournament if NU's games swung that way.
  21. IDK who it was but most likely one that comes to mind is Davis.
  22. Alright, a few thoughts: - The offense seemed so much better when Glynn is on the floor. The lead hovered around 10 in the second half when he was out. I really feel like they could have really put this thing away long before they did had he not been in foul trouble. - I've said it before, but I continue to maintain the best NBA prospect on this team right now is Copeland. - I'd like to see Tom let it fly more. If it were me, I'd make that a point of emphasis post Creighton til the restart of conference play. - That said, and it's been mentioned already, but Allen's defense might be the biggest development of the season. - I do like his increased willingness to drive. He's proving effective doing that, too. Hopefully will open up more opportunities for him beyond the stripe. - Is Roby still feeling effects of the foot issues he had in the fall?- Nana took a couple hard tumbles today. His tailbone is gonna be a little sore for a few days. - Amir's dunk was kinda ridiculous. He made putting his elbow through the rim look easy. If they can figure out how to develop his shot, he's gonna be a stud. - Underwood has an annoying squad to play. As those young dudes develop, they're gonna be a problem to face the next few years. - He's got a little Bobby Knight in him, though... - We only attempted 14 3's tonight, I think. That's the number that I think is right for this team most nights. All-in-all, good start to conference play. Let's see if we can get it to 2-0 on Wednesday. I think that's a very winnable game for us.
