I seriously can’t believe I’m sitting here after controlling the game for 30+ minutes and we take one in the L column. Inexcusable loss. Yes there was terrible officiating but we should have been able to adjust when we couldn’t barely get into any set on offense to get anyone a decent look. I’m still baffled how this is going on. If you have to call a timeout to set something up, do it! I am a Miles supporter but man there are some head scratchers sometimes. We go one possession of the 1-3-1 in the first half and what happens? We force a turnover. Then we never see it again. Or maybe once but somebody correct me if I’m wrong there. Minnesota, a horrendous three point shooting team that went 0-13 against OSU, has a guy that is absolutely killing us going to the rack, and we can’t at least flash a zone for another possession or two to at least throw them off a bit? Got out coached by Howard Wolowitz and it is inexcusable. We better be ready to play on Saturday and have some kind of game plan to get some flow if things aren’t going our way offensively or we’ll be in big trouble again. This looked like the nebrasketball of old and I hate to say that because I thought we were past that. Strap it up as Saturday is a very important one. I was getting ready to say how great it was to be able to win a game like this where JPJ was not going well and got production from the bench and other guys stepping up. That is not all lost but gotta find a way to close out a team on the road. Can’t let them have any hope. We seemed like we were playing not to lose those final five minutes and most of the time, that never works out. Go Big Red. Pack the damn vault Saturday as we need this one more than ever!!! Can't let them get it going from three. If they pound it inside and let Murphy get his, we'll have to deal with that. If he's kicking it back out off of the double team and they are nailing the three's, might be a long night. However, they did go 0-13 or something from three against OSU. I don't see that happening again, especially in the Barn. I'm hoping this will be a good kick start game for Roby to get it going. Not sure who will be guarding him but if it's Murphy, he needs to take it to the rim on him and get him to pick up some fouls. I hate this game too and am nervous for it. Hope we can take care of business and move on to the one everyone is thinking and talking about.

Met expectations I would say. Jumper is looking much better this year. Getting some air under the ball where in years past, it has been somewhat of a flat shot but has worked. It just looks better and like it is going to go in every time opposed to the flat laser-like shot he put up in the past. I don't think the effort has ever been in question. Confidence, maybe. I think this year will be a great year for GW. If we want to make a run into the tourney, GW will have to be the main focal point and everyone else will get theirs if he's rolling.

Andre Almeida. Gotta respect his presence on offense and he could guard bigs one-on-one defensively. I am worried about our defense guarding a true big. Going to have to be a lot of double teaming, closing back out on shooters. If someone gets hot from deep, we'll be in trouble. Bring back big Andre!!!

Do they think they are victims and been taken advantage of? There is no way they didn't know what was going on. The phone calls could not have been just about Justin Patton. The number of calls and length of the calls. I am sure if they are clean and did not want anything to do with offering the player money, then there would not have been phone records like the ones reported in the article. I do think it's funny that the AD and head coach go to Twitter to get some messages out with how they have been played by someone they trusted. Pretty sure you knew what they were up to by the amount of time and in-depth conversations that were had. And if their argument is that the runner also has other players that they may have been interested in, then just brush off the 100K offer and say "who else is available". If they're clean, the communication is done. Since there was more and more interest, this is definitely something to investigate. I actually don't know why I am investing so much time into this thing. As much as I would like them to get dinged with some kind of sanctions, I really don't think there is going to be enough evidence to do anything. Maybe the assistant coach that was involved will get fired or he will resign but that is about all I see happening. I hate you Creighton but still want you at full strength when you come to PBA so we can kick your a$$ and get off this huge bender we've been on when playing this game each year. Go Huskers!
