  1. Right there...ball movement gets a nice look for Jack Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Webster is forcing everything. Just like Shields used to when he thought he needed to take over when no one else could do anything. Move the ball around. Jack is hitting shots and driving. Horne has hit one. Keep feeding Jordy. He can kick it back out for three point shot too. One on three by Webster isn't going to end well 9/10 times. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. No intensity...playing flat footed. We look disinterested right now. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Falling apart here...get it together fellas Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Jordy out for the last 12 minutes of the half and we are still in good shape. MJ out a long time too/. We are fine. Should be able to get some action down low in the second half. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. I would much rather listen to them all the time but can never get the radio feed to match the tv. I use PS Vue so the tv stream is always like 45 seconds behind. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  16. This is about where I thought we would be. Granted the way we got here is very different that I could've expected but nevertheless we are here. 3-4 record W - Indiana W - Maryland W - Iowa L - Northwestern L - Michigan L - Ohio State L - Rutgers Where I had us 4-3 record L - Indiana L - Maryland W - Iowa W - Northwestern L - Michigan W - Ohio State W - Rutgers The last two losses come on last second shots/putbacks and the previous two are lost by three or less possessions each. I'm not saying there are any moral victories here by any means but this team is not far from flipping a couple of those L's into W's. the last two are excruciating gut punches but this team has tremendous toughness and will get back to work only to get better. It is tough sledding without Ed Morrow down low and that really hurts to know how much he effects the game in a positive way for us. It was great that we started off conference play 3-0 and there was a lot of talk about those three wins and that we could beat anyone in the conference on any given night, yada yada yada...Well, THAT IS STILL TRUE!!!! Yes we are on a four game skid right now, have some injury issues, fair weather fans are down on the team and people are calling for Miles to be fired (which is ridiculous, but hey, people will always call for the coach to be fired when losing, just the way people are, no matter who is the coach). So don't lose your heads yet Husker fans. Still a lot of games to go. This team has a lot of potential. We've seen how they can play. A win today would've got that good feeling back to take on the road to NW next week. But since we didn't get it, what are they to do? Quit? Say "we suck, we are on a four game skid, our hopes for any postseason play are over". No. Get back to work. Have some good practices and get the positive feelings flowing again, heads held high and go get a W at Northwestern. I know a lot of people on this board are not going to give up on this team/program. I just can't stand the people that are going to ride the highs and leave them for dead when we hit the lows. Go Big Red #Nebrasketball #USAlways
  17. What was the reason they weren't being released? They finally realized it could hurt his recruiting process? Sorry I am out of the loop on this, just remember they weren't releasing them for some unknown reason.
  18. I think he could develop nicely and benefit greatly if we get him and redshirt him. But wasn't there some issue where Winnebago wouldn't release his transcripts? That is going to be a problem if that is still the case. I think I read that somewhere, just don't recall where it was...
  19. Long season, not good enough for NIT or NCAA tourney...CBI or Vegas 16 would look bad. We aren't a mid-major. Cut our losses and look forward to next season. I like our team for next year. Gill should be able to add the extra scoring that we need and take some pressure off of White. Watson will be good. Webster will continue to improve and Morrow...the sky is the limit. GBR
  20. Glynn Wilson starting for us according to Kent...must have a new guy
  21. I think our big man problem is inexperience in addition to size. Groselle? 5th year senior Porter? Senior I hope that we have finally started a bigs pipeline with Hammond, Jacobson and Morrow and then we add another in 2016, 17, etc. On some levels I understand why we haven't signed a JUCO big man up to this point but on more levels I can't understand why the hell we haven't signed a JUCO big man up to this point. Same story, different sport....football - we can't ever get a quarterback to lead the team. Basketball - we can't get the big man to anchor our team
  22. I will be there right along side you in the rafters. I won't be shy yelling it and letting those jay birds have it! GBR
  23. I don't think the line matters that much in this matchup every year. What was the line last year? We had to be favored by at least that much and got our tails kicked at home.
  24. I was skeptical of him early on in the year when I said it was all between the ears for him. I think he has become a little more care-free and just let the game come to him over the last few weeks. That has helped him tremendously. I think he was just worried all the time that he was going to make mistakes and yo;u can't play your best when you are holding something back. Good to see him turning it around. Hope he can keep it up for the rest of the season. He is a key part of the team and I want to see him continue to succeed. GBR
  25. I hope so. Most everyone around Shields is now a better scorer and he's able to find them. Also, he's more aggressive so he'll now force the issue even if you're trying to take it away. I'd almost think if they try and take away anyone it's White. Miami did this and it seemed to work well for them. Also, it sounds like the general consensus is to lock down Shavon and try to make White beat them. Problem is, they think White is just a catch and shoot guy... However, White is not overly athletic nor is he a big threat to take anyone off the dribble. He is very much a catch and shoot player. But the size difference could be problematic if he does try to post up or shooting over defender after coming off a screen. Or you put Huff on him, and whoever is guarding Webster can help off. I'm fine with that guy shooting as many perimeter shots as he wants. Hopefully we see a lot of Ronnie as it will give us a more options defensively. The only problem with guarding us exactly the same as last year is that we currently have a top 100 3pt shooting team going against a bottom 50 3pt shooting defense. #ShooterU also applies to the generosity on defense around the arc. If they think White is not very athletic and cannot take people off the dribble, then they will be in for a rude awakening. We haven't seen him do a whole lot off the dribble but that doesn't mean he is not capable of it. They will be up on him tight around the three point line and he should be able to get some back door cuts and layups if they are so scared of him shooting threes. Plus he is one of the best rebounders on our team and can probably out-jump anyone on Creighton's team. White will have a big game. They are going to try and shut down Shields again and see what the rest of our guys can do. I would say they will have about the same game plan as last year minus Petteway, so they will be able to really key in on Shields and White should benefit from it. It will be critical that Webster has a good game as well. Go Big Red!
