He just spent a post grad year tearing it up in New England so he'll get some offers. He's from Syracuse but they seem pretty locked in at PG right now.

He wants to be a Div-1 coach. No idea how skilled Trueblood is in that department but I'm looking at how Hoiberg has promoted people around him and if Johnny has got it then the same could happen here.

He doesn't work as the point guard. He'd have to be a small forward you make work like Nojel Eastern at Purdue. That team shot a ton of 3s and he was a starter despite everyone knowing that he can't/won't shoot from the outside. (he went 0-4 from 3pt range this year)

It's good to have options. I was just thinking about him this morning and I'm not sure if I read if he was linked to Alabama his prior relationship with Oats leads me to believe that would be the other school involved here. Looks like Oats brought one assistant from Buffalo and will probably keep one of the previous coaches.

Hankins isn't a former Nebraska football coach, player, or AD at another school. Hiring someone without that sort of background regardless of whether or not he was on that track at Iowa would be out of the ordinary and if any current coach is going to have influence over it, it's Frost. -
