One big difference between here and Iowa St is that Matt A didn't have complete control of the roster. I'm not sure how you change that dynamic other than completely removing him from the equation. If Fred is back for a 4th year, *that* at least would be a change from the last 3 years.

While I agree that 2019-20 would have been a bad year under Miles he likely could have found 1-2 guys to go with Burke and Green to reach the extremely low bar of double digit wins. You read Chicago bulls writings from the Fred Hoiberg era and the ISU stuff is the outlier, not the standard. Part of the problem with the hire was the assumption that Fred would know how to run a program because he had 'done it before' whereas his success at ISU probably had a lot to do with the systems and culture already in place. We had a 'pay the AD to leave' situation.
