Who are the culture guys in the locker room next year? Seems like at least one of the guys we add next season needs to check the boxes of older and leader.
-
He got booed because he's good. Andrew White is persona non grata at Nebraska due in large part to him being good at basketball. If he did transfer to Nebraska, they'd boo him in Madison for the next two years...because he is good.

Everyone seemed ok with it when we booed Brad Davison for the previous decade.

Nebraska Cornhuskers (12-14) vs Rutgers Scarlet Knights (16-9) Date: February 14th, 2023 Time: 7:00 pm Arena: RAC (Jersey Mike's) Broadcast: BTN Rutgers Info Head Coach: Steve Pikiell Location: Piscataway, NJ Conference: B1G Nickname: Scarlet Knights Last time out: Lost to Illinois Point Spread: Rutgers by 11.5 Typical Rotation Depth: 7+ KenPom rank: 16 A couple of Famous Alumni: Roy Hinson, Eddie Jordan Other: CJ Wilcher and Jamarques Lawrence are New Jersey natives Rutgers swept the season series last in 2021-22 Rutgers starting F Mawot Mag is out for the season after tearing his ACL to games ago vs Michigan St. KenPom Analysis: It's tough to score on Rutgers and Nebraska could possibly struggle to even attempt shots at times given the Knight's ability to generate turnovers. Rutgers does it with shot volume; offensive rebounds and ball control offset what can be poor shooting Player to watch: C Clifford Omoruyi Rutgers' elite defense is anchored by Omoruyi who is an elite shot blocker and rebounder. Finishes well in the paint but little range beyond that Player to watch: G Cam Spencer Loyola Maryland transfer Cam Spencer is an elite 3pt shooter and the main shooter Nebraska needs to track on the perimeter. Functions as a secondary ball handler PG SG SF PF C Pct 1 4 Paul Mulcahy 6-7 213 Sr 10 Cam Spencer 6-4 207 Sr 22 Caleb McConnell 6-7 200 Sr 5 Aundre Hyatt 6-6 227 Jr 11 Clifford Omoruyi 6-11 240 Jr 14.5 Others to watch McConnell is one of the best defenders in the conference; would be wild if he was tasked with guarding Keisei Mulcahy is one of the few PGs in the league who brings the same package that Griesel brings to Nebraska; opportunistic 3pt maker Hyatt is the forward replacing Mag in the starting lineup. Hyatt tends to be a high volume scorer and probably the best candidate for having a guy try to beat you 6'3" backup PG Derek Simpson tends to be an offensive downgrade for a team that struggles on offense Dean Reiber, Oskar Palmquist, and Antwone Woolfolk are all 6'8"+ 220+ bodies that Rutgers can throw out on the court Notes Probable starters for Nebraska 5 Sam Griesel G 6-7 30 Keisei Tominaga G 6-2 10 Jamarques Lawrence - G 6-3 32 Wilhelm Breidenbach F 6-10 13 Derrick Walker F 6-9 Bench 0 C.J. This year's defense might prove to be the best of all, currently clocking in at #2 in KenPom's defensive efficiency. Nebraska's streak of 3 consecutive games of scoring in the 70s likely ends tonight. Rutgers has struggled offensively the last couple of games due to playing on the road and losing Mawot Mag. The Scarlet Knights will come out of the gate in their bandbox RAC/Jersey Mike's arena and will be hunting steals and offensive rebounds to bolster their bottom line. The key for Nebraska will be to weather this storm and continue to make shots...something they've been doing in the month of February. Would be one heck of an upset if Nebraska can pull it off Prediction: Rutgers 65 - Nebraska 51 View full article

The game to game tracking starts in 2011. However, in 99-00 during Danny Nee's last year, Nebraska finished 159 and San Jose St finished 152 so it has happened.

Blaise Keita randomly appeared in the 2nd half and had 11 rebounds. Keisei erupted for 30 a couple of games ago. It tends to happen both ways. -

You certainly are technically correct if you choose to take an obtuse viewpoint of the matter. -

Notes from UNL Postgame Notes Nebraska rallied from a 17-point second-half deficit to record its largest come-from-behind victory since the Huskers erased a 19-point first-half deficit in a 64-60 win against Iowa on Feb. 23, 2013. Overall, the 17-point comeback marked NU’s third-largest comeback since the start of the 1996-97 season. It is the largest second-half comeback since at least 1997-98. Nebraska’s last two wins over Wisconsin have featured Nebraska overcoming double-figure deficits (also 10 at Wisconsin last season in Madison) The Huskers came back from an 11-point halftime deficit, the fourth time this season Nebraska has overcome a halftime deficit. Wisconsin had been 11-0 this season when leading at the half, and the Badgers had not lost when leading at the half since it lost a six-point halftime lead in a 62-57 loss at Iowa on March 12, 2021. Nebraska had two large runs to fuel the comeback. The Huskers scored 14 straight points as part of a larger 20-2 run in the second half and in overtime, Nebraska ended the game on a 12-0 run. Tominaga led Nebraska with a game-high 22 points, his third consecutive 20-point game. Tominaga tied his season and career high with five 3-pointers. Tominaga scored 17 of his 22 points after halftime. In the second half, Keisei Tominaga (13 points) and Sam Griesel (12) combined for 25 points. As a team, Nebraska held Wisconsin to 26 second-half points. Griesel filled up the stat sheet with 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Derrick Walker scored 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds. Walker had six of Nebraska’s 12 points in overtime. Blaise Keita played 20 minutes in the game, all in the second half or overtime. Keita pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds, one shy of his career high. Jamarques Lawrence scored 11 points, one shy of his career high. It marked Lawrence’s second career double-figure scoring game. Nebraska out-rebounded Wisconsin, 43-37, and is now 5-0 in Big Ten play when out-rebounding opponents. Nebraska held Wisconsin to 36.2 percent shooting, the ninth opponent held to 40 percent shooting or less. -

Blaise is 6th on the team in rebounds with just 192 minutes of court time. Not sure if he can score or block shots but he finds the ball off the glass.
