  1. The hilarious thing would be us sliding down into the 100s because we struggled to beat Minnesota
  2. To be fair he's had experience coaching Sam's AAU team so he's been there before
  3. Feels like Willard might have overcoached it a bit at the end of regulation and OT. In regulation Maryland has the ball off a rebound and probably just runs a iso play with Young. Maryland calls timeout and Nebraska is able to sub in Blaise and Lawrence for Keisei and Wilcher. Young runs iso for a fadeaway anyway but maybe he gets a pass off against the earlier lineup. In OT Maryland calls timeout with 34 to go and Nebraska is once again able to sub and regroup. Sam Hoiberg steals the inbound and that pretty much seals the game
  4. Yup, it's nice when we win and I don't have to go back and mentally add up those missed 1 and 1s
  5. I'm not sure if Blaise will ever play in a game 35+ minutes but if he ever does he could pull down 20 boards. He's a vacuum out there
  6. Thought it was pretty consistent with their character and commitment to Nebraska that they flew in for the game.
  7. 19-25 from the FT line. We don't stay in or win this one shooting 60% from the FT line. Great team effort, let's keep rolling.
  8. Nebraska Cornhuskers (13-14) vs Maryland Terrapins (18-8) Date: February 19th, 2023 Time: 4:00 pm Arena: PBA Broadcast: FS1 Maryland Info Head Coach: Kevin Willard Location: College Park, MDConference: B1G 10Nickname: Terrapins, TerpsMascots: Testudo Typical Rotation Depth: 7+ Point Spread: Maryland by 7.5 KenPom rank: 16 A couple of Famous Alumni: Juan Dixon, Len Elmore Other: This is Nebraska alumni weekend This is former Seton Hall coach Kevin Willard's first season at Maryland KenPom Analysis: A bit like Northwestern, Maryland isn't a great shooting team but makes up for it through shot volume. Maryland is the type of team that hunts offensive boards and tries to fastbreak. Player to watch: G Jahmir Young The Charlotte transfer has always been a dynamic scorer and is one of the highest usage players in the conference. Three level scorer is the key to Maryland's success. PG SG SF PF C Pct 1 1 Jahmir Young 6-1 185 Sr 0 Don Carey 6-5 187 Sr 13 Hakim Hart 6-8 205 Sr 24 Donta Scott 6-8 230 Sr 10 Julian Reese 6-9 230 So 29.7 Others to watch Donta Scott is a solid secondary scorer to Young; rim protector Reese is strong on the boards and is shooting 63% from the field Carey should have been the best 3pt shooter on the team but is struggling this season at 29.6% Probable starters for Nebraska 5 Sam Griesel G 6-7 30 Keisei Tominaga G 6-2 10 Jamarques Lawrence - G 6-3 32 Wilhelm Breidenbach F 6-10 13 Derrick Walker F 6-9 Bench 0 C.J. Wilcher G 6-5 12 Denim Dawson - F 6-6 15 Blaise Keita C 6-11 12 Sam Hoiberg G 6-0 33 Oleg Kojenets F 7-0 35 Henry Burt F 6-6 24 Jeffrey Grace III G 6-3 Injured 3 Quaran McPherson G 6-3 - Out for the Year 4 Juwan Gary F 6-6 - Out for the Year 25 Emmanuel Bandoumel G 6-4 - Out for the Year Redshirting 2 Ramel Lloyd Jr. G 6-6 31 Cale Jacobsen G 6-4 Hoiberg Presser Amy Williams presser first. Hoiberg wishing with as hot as the team is that we'd have less time between these games. The Skinny: In their first meeting Nebraska kept within striking distance behind 16 from Derrick Walker and 15 from Sam Hoiberg before a 15-2 run in the last 10 minutes blew the game open. Jahmir Young led the way for Maryland with 18 points, 7 assists, and 6 steals. It seems like Nebraska should be able to outshoot Maryland in this game but will have to deal with the shot volume that the Terrapin's can generate via ball control and offensive rebounds. The 26 FTs Maryland shot in their last meeting was out of the norm for what Nebraska usually gives up; can the Huskers defend in this one without fouling. Nebraska has started two new starting lineups in the last two games which is typically the sign of a floundering team. However with this Husker crew it seems more to highlight the versatility of their rosters. Tominaga, Griesel, Walker, and Lawrence currently seem like locks for 25+ a game with everyone else TBD. Is this a Blaise Keita game where we play two bigs? Do we see Denim Dawson return to the rotation? Hopefully the coaching staff has the right formula. Maryland is as hot as any team in the conference but they haven't played nearly as well on the road this year as at home. Can this late season iteration of Nebraska take advantage? Prediction: Nebraska 71 - Maryland 68 View full article

  10. Tickets on this one are going to cost you and if you're planning to go see Minnesota I'd recommend jumping on them immediately if we're winning this game because 2:30 on a Saturday will be popular. (Caveat is that they move this game) Michigan St is the last home game but will be easier because 8pm on a Tuesday night is a tough drive for some.
  11. always guys selling outside though not sure the prices will be better as those guys are seasoned professionals. Might get lucky if you find a random person selling.
  12. In some circles he's known as Journalism Gobert
  13. One thing to note about the NET in the KenPom thread is that it's not the end all. Rutgers made the tournament in 2022 and their NET was 80
  14. Much like Iceland had a naming system different than the US, so does Japan. In Japan, the last name is listed first, then the first name. You'll see that if run the hashtag through a translator.
  15. The NET rankings aren't based on quadrant wins and loses, they're based on adjusted net efficiency.
  16. Keisei's name on twitter is a hashtag #富永啓生
  17. I'd say this does as good as anyone at explaining the net rankings Shorthand would be KenPom-esque rankings(net efficiency) with some emphasis on actually winning games https://www.sportsbettingdime.com/guides/how-to/understand-net-rankings/
  18. Seems as simple as Julian Strawther and Rasir Bolton are elite offensive players relative to Sallis.
