Aguek is at SDSU lol, I think you mean akol. But otherwise you have my same setiment. Pick up a freshman PF or c (I'd lean PF) Get a grad transfer PF or c (c here) I don't anticipate Thor being here honestly, so that can be used for hugley or if they get lucky with Carlson, or one of the 20 kids they're going after.
-
One thing I have noticed. Jpj was money from the mid range last year. I remember he was very good from there. Here's abandoned that completely I've noticed. Or am I remembering wrong?
-
No clue what's going on with that. They're going after John hugley pretty hard from what I'm seeing. Matthew hurt is still on the board even though we probably have no shot at him. He's the only known offer we still have out to a big currently. Starting to become slim pickings for PFs and C's left. I imagine they'll get a grad transfer but I haven't seen anything for a 19 big. No clue what's going on

I'm not betting against them at home. 5 of the next 7 at home. Only road games left are illinois, PSU, UM, MSU, and Purdue. They SHOULD win 2 MAYBE 3 if they come to play against Purdue. I'm as upset as anyone. Home games become significant. Maryland at home is probably the biggest game of the season now. AS BAD AS THEY LOOKED TONIGHT. That is still possible. Key word. POSSIBLE -

This is what I keep telling myself. Sweep the home games. Maryland becomes HUGE. Purdue both H/A becomes HUGE. Illinois we SHOULD win. God forbid they lose that. I can still see 22-23 wins. 5 of the next 7 at home. But God I'm pissed. Tonight needs to be a gut check for them. Take a long hard look in the mirror -

I don't have class tomorrow. I have no words for tonight. One of the worst games I've seen from these guys -

Anyone else notice how Bardo stopped himself from saying "Roby doesn't know how good he is"? -
They have some size in the middle. Shaq doorson and Shaq Carter are both big guys. They also have Myles Johnson coming off the bench. None are GREAT, but the size advantage is there. Should be a very winnable game, but this is one game to not look past in my eyes.

Was at the game and wanted to sleep it off and give my thoughts in the AM -Shots that usually fall at home didn't tonight. A lot of rim outs. -cassius Winston couldn't be stopped. He was going 100 MPH all night. Tom Allen got switched on him and I thought he did a decent job. -nana run late was huge. Could build confidence in him to play more small ball 4. -that was the first time in a long time I can say we belonged on the same court as MSU. -this win would've been nice for confidence purposes, but it's not the end of the world. Rutgers on Monday, should run them over. Then OSU/Wisconsin at home too close the month to put us at 16 wins. Overall, we hung around with a final 4 contender for 37 minutes. I'm not mad. Miles had these guys ready. Shots just didn't fall
-
They need to bring back those. Don't think we lost in them last year. And if we did I'm pretty sure we played our best in them
-
Ward will be an animal and will get his. If we can play defense in him without fouling that will be huge. I don't think can guard Roby or cope is space. I think this game will come down to the "others" for MSU. Need to contain Winston. McQuaid is a shooter. And they have a couple guys who can do some damage. If there's any team that's designed to beat us, it's this team. HOWEVER. Langford and Aherns being out us huge. That plus the home atmosphere we will have will be huge. I hope we can pull this off.
-
Langford and Aherns will both be out this game. They started Aaron Henry at the 3 last game, I envision the same this game
-
I suck at the internet. Thank you

Can we get these jerseys broken out for Thursday? Also looking at this makes me miss Evan Taylor. Wish we had him for another year image (1).webp
-
Yeah like I said, I'm not necessarily calling it a must win. But for confidence purposes they'll play like it. So they have a rhythm with MSU coming to town on Thursday.
-
Something to monitor for Thursday with MSU coming into town. Langford just got ruled a no go for Sunday and will be reevaluated next week. Aherns has also been limited in practice with a minor back injury.

Saw that after the game. Not as upset about the bench now. I get it. Amir and Nana were both cut off due to health. And Roby stayed out of foul trouble and was doing a lot. And had the matchup advantage on whoever was on him. So I'm good now. -
Justin Smith will be a handful for cope. Believe he went for 20 against us last year. Same with Morgan, Roby will have to control him. In order to win this game we'll have to win the backcourt matchups. JPJ will have his hands full with Romeo and they rotate about 2-3 guards off the bench. I'm not going to call this a MUST WIN. But confidence wise going into the MSU game on Thursday, it's as close as it gets.

Also, Nana being sick probably effected his minutes. But still no subs in the second half. Crazy -

-roby had the matchup advantage on whoever was on him and won it - I actually want a reason why there were no subs in the second half. I understand they aren't the best. Amir and Nana can both give 5-10 minutes per half usually. As long as two of the big 4 are on the court at a time I think they'll be fine. - glad to see amir back. He rebounds well from the guard position and knows how to push the ball. -josh Reeves is a bad matchup for Palmer. One of the better defenders in all of the big ten. And I felt like a few of Palmer's drives he usually gets called for the foul. -senior Glynn Watson is here to stay. Which is huge. -tom Allen gave good spurts all game long. -everyone looked tired. I am not concerned about depth if they are played correctly. Someone had to have asked it in the miles presser. -a W is a W. But IU became a huge game confidence wise. -

Amir Harris is good to go tonight. Nana dealing with an illness. Might be limited in how much he plays -
A drinking thread. Just what I needed. Seriously tho, I saw that too. Kinda took me off guard. Granted, we're expecting better today yes, but that is a very encouraging sign. The program is growing. If you can't see that I need whatever you're drinking. Personally, I like Jack and Coke
