To be honest, I think maikcol Perez can fill this. At least provide good versatility at the 4/5. He has to commit here, but if he does, that's 100% a role I see him filling.

Yeah I wouldn't be shocked if big schools sniff around him, or have already put out offers. Bigs are always going to be more expensive than guards/wings, but caveat that with an upside guy with multiple years? We're looking past 1 mil more than likely. Like I said before, hopefully loesners relationship with him can pull some weight.

I think Cale deserves to go find a place he can play. Kyle may be a take, but given how last cycle went, I wonder if the staff gives him a second look after his last year went with him. Remember, he took a flight out of the blue to UCLA despite being down to WF, Neb and ISU. Finding the money is good for the kid, but tbh I don't think they'll want to risk going through that again. His market may not be as big this time around though given how UCLA went. Dak is interesting because he still needs to portal, and theres a chance he does tbh, but he's built like a twig, but has talent. He cannot play the 5 here whatsoever, so he'd be a 4 with plus athleticism. He's a player for sure and hopefully the leg work loesner put in during his recruitment helps. He had dak visiting at least 2, if not 3. Rest of it is subjective at this point. There's a guy that we probably don't know about that will be there in place of Jackson or one of the bigs. They won't bat 100% on targets/commits, they just need to go back to identifying the right guys like they did the past two cycles before last year. Ziegler seems good with that as does loesner. The last assistant we'll see on. He may have a connection to a player we don't know about but will follow him

Haven't seen this mentioned yet, but just a reminder that rosters are capped at 15 players starting next season, just like football with 105. That includes walk ons, so going into next year, we have 11 players on the roster (excluding grace from this since he walked on senior night), leaving us with 4 spots. Educated guess tells me 2 of the 4 walk ons move on. Would then put us at 6 schollys before any portal departures.

As soon as we get one big, which I think/expect we will, we'll have a 3 different guys who can slide to the 5. I personally like mast around 27-30 mpg, especially coming off his knee injury. But that's still 3 guys. Just can't air mail this one like they did meah. I've mentioned this elsewhere, but let's hope this past portal class was an anomaly for them, because the past two had an extremely good hit rate for impact guys. Point guard who can shoot at a high level and a wing who can score are the top two priorities imo, so I agree about dedicating a lot of money to those two spots before doing anything else

I think the defense was handed off last season. They ran a very similar defense, if not the exact same, as last year. Maybe he helped more last year, but loesner has had the defense for more than this year

I'm a big big big medved fan. He's kinda getting pushed to the side because it's Minnesota, but he can really fucking coach. He's produced some VERY GOOD players and teams at CSU in his time there. McCollums resume speaks for itself, but I don't want to scoff at medved at all

Definitely one to keep an eye on. He didn't do shit at UCLA, but mara and Tyler biladeou were super impressive. He'd be great in an energy giving big role off the bench

One I think could work. He played PG to close the year and was MW player of the week. Very efficient as a handler out of pick and rolls. Can knock down a 3. If he can be a PG full time, it gives plus size across the court. Mast would be the initiator on offense in this situation too.

I think it's more a case of he's not very good. Dropping down a level is probably best for him.
