  1. Mine too. His athleticism and defense should both be immediate assets to the team.
  2. And they have JT Rock sitting in the wing after redshirting a year. So that's 3 bigs, with two being portal additions, without knowing too much what about the roster
  3. Id like to see an increased volume on those, but him knocking them down is a good sign for future shooting growth.
  4. I agree honestly. Unless he's fine being a role guy, I can't see it. There's flaws to his game, but there is some good to his game.
  5. Well payne played a lot of 4 at Minnesota opposite Garcia, so as long as the big opposite him can shoot, like Mast, I see him the same. I do like Kyle more, mostly because he's actually visited, but I think payne and him are interchangeable.
  6. I guess I see Kyle and Payne in the same light. Athletic big that can defend. Very similar skill set/play style. Either works for me.
  7. And against certain teams, Gary can still play the 4. But him showing he can slide into that 3 spot opens up quite a few different lineup possibilities, which will be great next year.
  8. It'll be interesting how Fred manages that. I still think they need that athletic big, see Payne or Kyle. And they still should take one.
  9. Remember how mast wore down at the end of the year. He was around 29 mpg and by the end of the year he looked like a shell of himself. The knee scope probably played a role. But this guy played about 23 mpg at NDSU. I anticipate it'll be around 18-22 here, mostly in Mast relief. Having a shooting big on the floor at all times too.
  10. Round 3 in this one? I think I like Morgan more personally. But beggars can't be choosers
  11. That's how I see it also. Maybe not a push but "this is the ceiling of your role here in the program." Lawrence taking so long tells me he was debating it for a while and torn on it. It'll be very interesting where he ends up.
  12. That's what I'm thinking. They're bleeding shooters, so they need to get any kind of shooting they can find.
  13. Mast, Gary, and Brice should all be back. Unless they portal out, wouldn't make Sense to leave. Mast could go pro back home, but depends what he gets in NIL
  14. Pharrel Payne coooooooommmmeeeee on down
  15. He was rumored to portal for a while. Him and ty Rodgers can't really play together in the front court, and dains minutes all year fluctuated. He's always had talent though.
  16. Could be something, or could be nothing. But all of the staff members, Howard, loesner, Tommy, and Luca, have gotten a follow from Bryce Pope recently. (highlights linked below). I like the idea of the fit, but we'll see. Might be something to pay attention to.
  17. He added a "do not contact" tag when he entered, so he likely already has his school picked
  18. Mag was rumored to almost leave last offseason, so that one isn't that much of a shock. The main shock to me was Griffiths. One of the highest ranked guys in Rutgers history, and a style of game that gets better the older he gets. Playing with two super freshman will also open up looks for him. Cliff I don't really get, but he could be chasing money. Simpson is probably just getting recruited over.
  19. That would suck honestly. He was a late take, so not shocking though
  20. I'd be cautious about it, but if they're sure they can help him mature, I'd be for it. And if I remember right, he does have family out here, so having family ties to help keep him in check should help.
  21. he still has 4 years to play, so maybe? I believe he has family in Grand Island iirc. I don't know the full story here though
  22. Ulis would be my guess. Maybe diop if he wants a better shot at minutes. Ulis is my guess though
  23. The only true rotation pieces for next year they lost were CJ and potentially rice. Neither of those are back breakers though, so they still have the nucleus of next year's rotation in tact, and can build/add to it.
