  1. I'll be pretty upset if he doesn't get another year. Made the best out of a pretty crappy roster. Considering they're only half a game behind us, I'd definitely keep him. Minnesotas issue I think is the people above him and the NIL funding
  2. I'm keeping that in the back of my head. Frager is from here so I have to think he'll stay. Janowski I think should stay due to bump in minutes and role next year. Physically, he looks ready to go.
  3. I think we'll see all 3 freshman in bench roles next year, with one of the two redshirting having a good chance at major minutes. Early guess is Nick J, but depends how he's doing in practice
  4. Take care of business coming up vs Minnesota and Iowa and they should be fine. Minnesota is sneaky good too. Shockingly have 6 big ten wins. Ben Johnson is doing such a good fucking job given his departures this off-season. And being without one of his big portal acquisitions in Tyler Cochran
  5. OSU losing today in the fashion they did helps us. They have two West coast games before we go to Columbus. We'll see how they look around that time.
  6. Good thing I didn't tune into this one lol.
  7. Well rollie committed on April 15th, and Chucky entered April 18th. But, Louisville dropped a massive bag for Chucky, and he committed there a week later. So even if we pursued, doubtful it was going anywhere. Back channel non official stuff was going on I'm sure, but I'm just basing it off what I see. If I'm off so be it.
  8. I think the timing was off with Chucky personally. By the time he entered the portal, we already had Worster locked up. We could've kicked him to the curb for Chucky, but that's not how the staff operates I imagine. I think with bashir, the longer it went on, the more likely it was to be a money grabbing game. Highest bidder situation, and we bowed out right away. I think shortly after he visited is when rhymes committed, so could've been a deal of "ok bashir isn't coming, you have the green light Rhymes".
  9. Meah was a GAME changer today. Nicholson isn't a threat to do anything at all, so meah put in his best game of the year.
  10. This is one I have been monitoring. Him and loesner have a relationship back from HS, as he visited Lincoln a few times. We probably advised a prep year down in sunrise, and then Colorado came calling. He can shoot and has 1.5 blocks per game in the big 12, so he can use his length. One to at least monitor
  11. Happy for him man. He got thrown into the fire as a PG when he wasn't ready, and needed more time to adjust. I'm glad he's playing well up there.
  12. I've mentioned before how high and excited I am on janowski because I feel like he has that "IT" factor. I really think the redshirt year will be helpful for him. I think he'll start or be a one of 2 primary 2s next year with a vet PG next to him, and Nick will provide relief when that PG goes to the bench.
  13. Rhymes im not sure what to expect from, but I think frager jumps Griffiths in the rotation and Nick janowski is an immediate impact guy from the jump. Portal will be interesting because they should have two starting spots locked up next year at the 4/5.
  14. To be honest, I'm not sure how Nebraska had it so close for half the game. Their sharp shooter couldn't hit a shot (this is starting to become a trend), Morgan was in foul trouble, and they couldn't get a step, and they had it within single digits most of the game. Maryland made everything too, even toughly contested shots. Tip of the cap to Maryland. Move on and best NW and PSU.
  15. I'll be interested in how they counter marylands double big lineup. My guess is they start Morgan with Sam and Rollie in the back court. Defensively, they'll have to fly around, because Maryland has a few shooters. Iirc, Geronimo was a game changer in college Park, so they'll need to neutralize his energy when he checks in. Winnable, but it'll be a very tough one
  16. Dalano I don't think I've seen at a Nebraska game since he left Nebraska. Was a bit shocked by that
  17. At minimum I think they need to be at 9-11 by the time the big ten tourney comes around, and I think that'll put them on the right side of being in. That means 6-4 over the last 10 games. Have 5 home games and 5 away games. With the exception of Michigan, which I think is a winnable game, Nebraska should be favored at least slightly in every home game. Find at least 1 away win, if not 2 to give yourself breathing room. Last night was a step in the right direction for that. Keep it going
  18. This is actually something I was going to mention. I wasn't at USC, but Rutgers I was at and crowd energy wasn't there from what I saw. If you're at the game tonight, please give the guys energy. Let's get back to making the Vault a place big ten teams hate coming to.
  19. That's not a high bar to clear though tbf lol. But yeah they push and try to get 3s up. Which makes sense based on roster build and kasparas being a wizard.
  20. Him and Boswell are coughing out up just over 3 times a game in conference play, which puts them top 10 in conference in turnovers, and team wise they're in the upper half of the conference in conference play. With Tom ivisic out more than likely too with mono, morez Johnson as a freshman, is a guy you can force to be a decision maker out of the post.
  21. This, and they're a turnover prone team. This needs to be a game where Gary or Brice feast. Ben Humrichous is about as bad a defender on the wing as they'll see. If Boswell and Tre White check them out the gate, then that'll be a Berke game. There's definitely a massive pressure point to attack for Illinois when we're on offense, and we just have to be smart with passing lanes, because kasparas WILL turn it over. Just a matter of how much
  22. We have 3 single possession losses, all of which we had a shot against, and the 5 point loss to USC (shout-out Frost era). I'm not going to say "oh we're so close" because that's just bad juju and I might see Scotts shadow somewhere. In all 4 of those losses we had major breakdowns in different areas, most of which being defense, and it was still as close as it was. Basketball isn't going anywhere lol and people are just being emotional at this moment, and rightfully so. I went to every Bryce mcgowens game and I think the only game I left early was the Michigan clobbering.
  23. Nothing. Just nothing. Illinois is at least turnover prone and isn't great shooting, but they have final 4 ceiling, so they will run us more than likely. Did find out interesting we essentially cut the rotation to 7 with ulis in clean up. Have not liked meah this year, so I am fine with his benching. If the season continues how it is, id bump Gavin up just so see if you can get something out of him to close the season.
  24. This is what it ended up being, with Connor off for Berke. We'll see who they go to close the game though.
  25. 36%ish in conference play though, and that's after a few games stretch where he was hot. He got a few to go down vs Purdue late in the game which helped him of late. Before that and including that game he was shooting sub 30% in conference play, granted over a 5 game stretch. That's what matters more. And I'm not saying don't play him. I just don't think you start him if they want defense out of the gate. And they won't run a zone. I don't think I've seen a zone once this year. It just won't happen.
