Congrats to Coach Smith! Really liked him but Miles will make a great hire.

We started 6 guys today who are upper classmen...and our entire rotation plus our anchor are upper classmen. I would hope Erstad is recruiting Juco's that he expects will come in and contribute right away. Not Juco's that he considers "young." You may have a point in regards to leadership...that I don't know. But we are definitely not a young team.
-
That was quick! Big East looking very mid majorish! Games not over yet....but looking like zero teams in the sweet 16 for the "big" east. Although Jays fans may have a point, his son won't be around next year to save his butt. Best Creighton team they will ever assemble and this is what Greg delivers?
-
You are wrong if you think this is a young team. Also, i wouldnt say Erstad sucks..thats a bit extreme. More like mediocre. Atleast, thus far he has been. Thats not to say he wont end up doing good work but thus far the results he has produced and the product he has developed is average at best. I dont buy into this being a talent issue so the next logical conclusion is coaching and lack of development. Also, in game coaching is also very questionable.

Huskers lose series to Iowa. This is not a very good team right now. Erstad has been a dissapointment. I wouldn't call the season young anymore...oh and Anderson is long gone. The piss poor play is no longer on him and squarely on Erstads shoulders now. They still have a chance to rectify it this year but at this point id say an at large bid is bleak at best.

Concerned? No. It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if he did so. I'm not sold he will ever be a Big Ten type player we need. This year, he was absolute disappointing. It's hard to look at his game logs. Over hyped is putting it lightly. So no, not concerned. But I have heard rumors he wouldn't make it past this year.Let's tag this post a year from now. I predict it will look as wise as those bemoaning the demise of Shavon earlier this year. JMO.Please do! While we are at it please go back to the old site and post all my messages regarding Doc never amounting to much....which I was bashed for. Tai may turn out to be a capable player but I'm afraid he will never live up to the top 25 player many thought he was. Pin it!!! I've been wrong in the past, I would have bet my life savings on this team not winning 11 Big Ten games. Id be glad to be wrong again. But right now, Tai is a bad basketball player. I can go over the game logs with you if you want. You may cringe though. I'm not disputing he's in a slump. I just personally am not ready to throw him away. We have a year invested in him. He has a Big Ten frame. He can drive to the hoop. It doesn't matter if anyone let their expectations get out of control and thought he was going to be a top 25 player. He didn't need to be.He has to get better. I think he will develop. You think this is as good as he gets. We'll see. I'm not saying throw him away. I just wouldn't be concerned if he decided to move on. I fully expect him to get better...it will be hard not to. But he has a lot to work on that's for sure. Especially if the long term plan is to move him to the 2.

I wish the mods would tag your post to the top for the next 3 years so we can all look back at it in 2-3 years. You have had an unhealthy obsession with bashing Tai all year, so I guess you may as well go out with a bang. As I said in another thread, I have heard the coaches changed Tai's shooting form after he arrived on campus. They knew it would throw him off this year but are hoping it will give him a headstart on the future years. Maybe he never will pan out. But if he is hopeless, then I fear for the future of Hawkins and Fuller who couldn't even crack the lineup all year. I guess we should just throw them out as well. I guess I am just not ready to give up on any of them, and definitely not Tai. Sorry you can't handle the truth. To put it lightly, Tai was te biggest dissapointment of the year. Right now there is not one thing he does well. I have no problem calling out bad play when I see it...and for the majority of the year Webster was well...bad. If you think he's going to live up to his hype..great, I hope you're correct. I have serious reservations that he will ever live up to the player we thought he would be. His attitude needs help along with his game.

Tough pill to swallow but great season for the program. Now it's time to recruit to fill in a few gaping holes. We need a ready to play PG still and another solid big man. I think it's pretty telling Webster for zero minutes in the second half. Miles had a few words for him going into the locker room also.

I give the coaches and A++ for this game because they woke up and put Tai where he belongs. On the bench. I don't think he's seen the floor all half. -

I'm all for it. I refuse to believe he is worse than Webster. Tai at this point doesn't even appear to be a D 1 talent. -

We have scored 11 points in 16 minutes.....this team failed to show up. Biggest game in 16 years and they lay an egg. -
