If you didn't include the Walsh home run, I would have guessed we were leading 7-1 in walks! -

I am frustrated with that half and we are up 10. Undeniable progress -

Definitely have hit a bit of offensive lull. Settling for too many jump shots as opposed to working inside out. Finish this half strong and Minnesota will be looking forward to getting back home -

Fantastic start. If Lawrence is also hitting shots with Keisei and Welcher, this team is super tough and a hell of a lot of fun to watch! -
Why needlessly smear someone with what is likely second or third hand information, at best?

This seems like it would be a great time for the 1890 initiative to make their presence felt in basketball; -
It's fantastic to see there is this high of interest to watch a bad basketball team play. And for once, I am not talking about us!

Hoiberg was on sports nightly earlier this week and said Cale was doing a very good job on the scout team and that he expected him to contribute next year. He is redshirting this year.

Well we have cracked the Top 90 in NET this morning, moving up 3 spots to 89. We only moved up two spots when we beat Maryland so the computers clearly like us more when we don't play. Thankfully we still are off a few more days. -

I would slightly split hairs on this. I am skeptical that 16 wins gets us in the NIT. That would put our overall record at 16-16 and while you no longer have to be over .500 to qualify, I do think it's easy to ignore and overlook a .500 team with bad computer numbers. I think 17 is NIT bubble territory for that reason and 18 puts us squarely in the NIT. At 19-15 or 19-16, I think we are on the the bubble but probably the wrong side as that's a lot of losses. 20 and we are probably dancing. Just my two cents! I still think it would be super helpful to win out in the regular season. What this team needs is some press and national media coverage. Get to 17-14 with six straight wins to end the season and little old Nebraska becomes a national story. The resume gets thrown up on the screen and the talking heads will point out how deceiving the computer rankings are with this team. They will point out the 8 quad 1 and 2 wins with ZERO quad 3 and 4 losses. The resume on screen looks way better than computer numbers. That's really what we need more than anything as I doubt the committee is reading this message board or really dissecting a team that is currently 14-14. Just win baby! -
I am really struggling to read between all of your lines on your posts here. I guess I don't understand why you can't explicitly state what you know or were led to believe at some point? I promise I won't hold it against you, just genuinely curious.
-
I hope you are wrong on this as I suspect you are just guessing as well. My gut and probably wishful thinking leads me to believe that he'll run it back next year in the hopes he can get on draft radars.

If we win and it was a good game, I'll go back and listen to his broadcast after the fact as it's always a great listen. The TV announcers, being unbiased, obviously can't match Kent's in-game passion and knowledge about the program. I wish BTN allowed us to just sync the school's radio broadcast with the live TV feed...that would be a treat!

It will also help that this will be Minny's third game in six days. We should win this game going away.

Fixed this for you

Ugh, sorry for your bad luck. I purchased yesterday so unfortunately I can't take advantage of the great offer. Thank you to both of you though!

Yeah, pretty brutal and it's super tough to buy when you need an odd quantity of 3! Found a semi palatable price on Seatgeek in the 200 level.

If we win our final four regular season games, we will certainly be on the bubble. It might still be on the wrong side but we will be part of the conversation heading into the BIG tournament -
Bumping this for @hskr4life as we decided to drive in for the game and will be looking for 3-4 tickets in the 100 level as well (once hskr4life is taken care of, of course!). I'll likely buy them on the secondary market but if any HHC members can't go, I would be happy to purchase them from you so everyone can avoid the unnecessary fees!

Great piece by BTN. I really hope Keisei comes back. I know there are a lot of naysayers about Keisei having next level potential with valid criticisms of his size and flaws. However, if you don't think Hoiberg is going to try and sell him on coming back for an additional year to further his development to make a run at the NBA, you are crazy. If the last four games have shown us anything it's that this kid has a chance and will hopefully only continue to get better.

Whether you agree with the methodology or not, the quad designations are not arbitrary if they are applied consistently to everyone. You or someone could correct me if I'm wrong but my recollection is that the NCAA committee developed the quad criteria a few years back to help provide context and meaning to computer data. if we do close out the season on a very nice run, the quad data should be very helpful in painting a positive narrative about this team in comparison to other bubble teams. -
Charges were dropped, not sure that clears him of any and all wrong doing. I'm not suggesting he's at fault, only two people really know the truth, but the police report and photos are still very damaging to his reputation. We'll see where he lands. Could be a Pitino type route though and not the immediate nice job you are expecting.
