My eyes tell me this is an NCAA tournament caliber team. I also did not get great news at my eye doctor appointment a few weeks back so there is that as well.

Man, what a game and I am glad we drove out to watch that. The big takeaway for me is that the Creighton game wasn't a fluke. It didn't feel like a fluke at the time as we controlled that game from beginning to end; however, I needed to see something to back up the Creighton effort. We got that and more. We didn't control Purdue but it certainly didn't feel like we were an inferior team. They have better players but our tenaciousness on defense was a great equalizer. Keisei is gaining confidence and Wilcher's shot will undoubtedly come back. Better days and more wins are ahead this year as long as we stay healthy! It really feels like this Kansas State game is huge for this team this season. It's not do or die by any means but a win really feels like it could propel this team forward with some serious momentum going into games against Queens and then two good but not great BIG teams in Iowa and MSU. I'm definitely going to enjoy the ride this year as this is not anything like I expected at the beginning of the year!

This team is SOOOOO much more likable than recent prior iterations. It sure seems like we have a much stronger culture, a team with pieces that actually fit well together and most importantly, a team that is completely bought in to the "team" and not themselves as individuals. Looking forward to tomorrow night!

Yeah, I will be there with you. The stars also aligned for us from a youth sports perspective and we will be driving in from Colorado. Should be a great environment, especially after we knock off Indiana as well!

Yeah, agree completely but fortunately defense travels. We certainly need to avoid the injury bug with Walker and Griesel and then win a bunch of rock fights. On the flip side though, we did win a game in which Tominaga and Wilcher shot a combined 2-12 and hit zero three pointers so maybe there is still a little hope offensively.

Mood of a confused fan base today

If we go 9-4 over the next 13, we will be dusting off the bubble watch thread and debating seeding in the tournament. I really hope we can speak that into existence!
