What's sad is she could hit them at a good percentage as a freshman (50% on 42 attempts). Shot 33% as a sophomore on 79 attempts, and 30% as a junior on 71 attempts. It's puzzling that she had a good outside shot early in her career. Are our players getting better while they're here? Issues on the player development side in addition to recruiting?

Watching it I thought Morgan really struggled, and this seems to bear that out. Murray State stats very different for him.

Griffiths needs a multi-game benching, and if the effort doesn't improve, send him packing. No effort whatsoever. And if you think that's too harsh, watch him standing still and not playing ANY defense on the possession in the last minute. Guy is just completely lost, and appears disinterested as well. I can handle bad, but not a lack of effort.

Out for the year. Needs another hip surgery. Wow.

Effing Norm

I always thought we would get that W for me to witness. But now I'm an old, have friends and relatives in my age group passing, and am doubting it. Might be the cause of a more negative viewpoint of what I've seen so far with this year's team than is justified. So bear with those posts.

Yeah, one of my buddies who is all invested in the Omaha thing--UNL alum, huge Jay fan, hates Husker basketball--was sitting in the fancy seats at volleyball last week wearing red and all fired up....

I have to think it's pretty important for in-state recruiting. Crayton kicking our ass on the court most every year over the past couple of decades has to be a factor in our dismal record in head to head recruiting efforts with Nebraska kids. At some point we have to turn this around. It's an important game beyond the Omaha pukes strutting around the office after another Jay win.

Griffiths will need to show he remotely cares about defense to earn more minutes.
