Nice half by Markiwski

Well will try in game today on my phone

I think we subbed ourselves out of a nice flow to the game that we had going. Granted MN defense was going to step it up but some of that was our own doing. I was not surprised by the play from our bench. They need to get up to speed with B1G play. Missing those point blank shots will come back to bite us with better teams. Will take the win even when we play below what we are capable of.

So aren't they still running a delay on TV due to the Jackson Super Bowl stunt?

I know both Matt and Jeff talk about the refs call, no calls, makeup calls, etc. We also know that Amy and Staff can not make comments with out getting into trouble with the school, conference. I wonder do refs get reviews from games from either the school or the conference? IMHO some should not being calling games at the D1 level. It always gets me when Matt or Jeff will talk about someone who has called a final four game(s) and think we will get a good called game. They then sometimes make/miss some calls that are pretty clear. Anyway that is my rant for the day.

Amy talked about rebounding needing to change for her team. But what she really needed was a point guard. Jaz and Allison have provided a key missing piece to her puzzle. We now have Scoggin in her natural role of the spot up shooter. We also have a deep bench. We can get in some foul trouble and we can ride it out. I agree we should be receiving votes as a top 25 team. Need a win at MN and a strong finish of the non-con and the top 25 ranking should come.

Thanks for the update Red Don. Go Huskers and get another "W".

One thing I think we will see more of is teams backing off Haiby and giving her the jump shot. She has had a rough start this year with her jump shot. She really is not looking to shoot when open. Most times drives to the basket and even then, that has been an adventure but she has gotten fouled and at around 85% is not someone to be putting on the line.

I use my iphone for BTN+ and am having problems. I will have to try the delete/reinstall route.

Agree on a very poor called game. Our depth showed, and our 3 point defense was good. We had some poor shot choices and it ended up making this closer than it should have been.
-
On paper have the better, deeper team. If we do not beat ourselves IMHO we could win by double digits. One thing I feel good about is the fast start we have had. Creighton has gotten a quick start mostly and before we know it we are down 12-15 points. It would be nice to see that trend in our favor.

Jaz had some nice steals yesterday. She is a pretty complete player. Glad to have her!

While neither game was a strong test for us. The fact that we scored over 100 for both make me feel better about where we are currently. Would we had dominated like this last year, or two years ago? This really speaks to the level of talent we currently have. As has been point out, this is the deepest team Amy and staff have put together.

Hoping for a similar game from our girls tonight. We need to keep the hot start.
-
It is very easy to transfer now. Also think parents and club coaches are part of this problem as well.
-
Having two true point guards in Jaz and Allison will help us this year, both will be special. Nice to see improvement from the returning players. Til we beat Creighton, they are our toughest non-con opponent IMHO.
-
Yes weather will play a part in the numbers this evening. I would think 3-3500 would be good.
-
Well tonight we can go back to the " Vault" and watch our team play. I wonder what kind of fan numbers we will see tonight? I will be there.
-
We have to produce on the court. Win and they those preseason nods come.
-
I think we have two in Shelley and Weidner that can do both. Part of what we are missing is a PG that can get the shooters, posts the ball at the right time, ie when open or when they have room to work.
-
It could take a few games for us to see a pattern of starters, subs, etc. Feel like Brown, and Scoggin will be our 3 point specialists. I could also see Moriarty in a starting spot especially if her defense is there.
-
So I think we see a couple of freshman in the starting lineup. My five are Haiby, Issie, Coley, Markowski, and Jaz as our point.

Per their Twitter, UNO. Looks like no Dillard (knee), Popa (Redshirt), and Brady did not play. All three were not dressed to scrimmage. So any news on Brady and Popa?
