Each year stats are listed. Not sure another table would be needed to see level of progress, one year to the next.

I was more interested in the development, year to year, over their careers. The total career numbers are excellent for both. What stood out to me, was how similar their freshman years were. Kate's stats, other than free throw percentage, did not vary much, from year to year. Gustafson's stats improved noticeably, from one year to the next. I'm sure there are many factors that contribute to this, including coaching, self-motivation, talent, athleticism, surrounding roster, maturation, health, etc.

Player development has been a topic in this forum for some time. For the heck of it, I compared career stats between Kate Cain and Megan Gustafson. Not sure if fair comparison, but Interesting, none the less. Cain's Career Statistics Year G-GS FG-FGA Pct. 3FG-3FGA Pct. FT-FTA Pct. TRB-Avg. Another thing in common, they were also hit by injuries.

I wish I could "Like" your reply, multiple times. Spot on (IMO).

Ominous. Say it ain't so Jaz!!

You and Red Don are both on point. Czizano is experienced and has had excellent coaching. She plays aggressively, has more post moves, seems to have superior length and strength. She is an elite player. Hoping Alexis has a similar career.

If you rewatch the game, check out Clark at about the 3:45 mark of the 2nd quarter. She's standing with the ball at the top of the key, and probably shuffles her feet 4 or 5 times. Ref is right there.

A long shot for sure, but knocking them off would be so enjoyable. Stranger things have happened. Go get them ladies. The house will be rockin'.

Not sure comparing Amy's and Connie's first years are that much alike. If the average fan looks at Connie's first roster, not sure they will recognize any names, other than a couple of volleyball players. Amy had Shepard, Simon, Whitish, Cincore, Eliely.... I'm not advocating firing Williams. Just don't agree with your post.
-
I agree. Issie runs the court as good as anyone. She is athletic. Weidner is athletic. Coley and Moriarty are athletic. They just haven't been taught to play under control. As you mention, the entire roster is above average athletes. You don't play Division I ball, and not be. Teach the fundamentals. Point guard and post development is concerning. Please don't waste a talent like Alexis. Staff needs to "up" their games.
-
I think it was 2016/2017, in Amy's first year, we went 7 - 22. (that team had Shepard, Simon, Cincore, Whitish, Eliely, etc.) In 2017/2018, we went 21-11 and made the big dance. The girls you mention enrolled for the 2018/2019 season (unless the stats I looked at are not accurate).

There is so little information shared regarding Husker WBB, it makes it difficult to give Amy the benefit of the doubt. Why they don't promote the program more, is a mystery. Just look at football. Every tidbit of recruiting news, sparks interest. Official visits, offers, camps, events attended, hosting events, etc., Make it public. Every trip to a school, creating relationships, human interest stories, on and on. All are music to the ears of existing and potential fans. They make an effort to promote. I know WBB is not at the same level as football, but they could learn from them. When our AD was in the process of replacing Scott Frost, he mentioned a few of his thoughts. Does Amy meet this criteria? She might, but how would we know? “Great coaches are people of character,” Alberts said. “They’re people managers, they’re culture-builders and they’re grinders; a lot of the great ones don’t have a lot of hobbies because it’s all they know.”

Minnesota isn't very subtle with their physical play.

Hoping that catches up to them at some point. Jim Harbaugh is a strange one. (IMO)

Not what I was thinking. I'm referring to those that enter the portal. Is there any reason we couldn't make an offer as soon as they enter? Others might need to wait until room is made on their rosters.
-
Might our two open scholarships, actually give us an advantage here? No reason we have to wait on roster moves, to make an offer. Wishful thinking?

Dillard played as a freshman at Texas Tech. I'm glad she got that experience. At Nebraska, she is now in her 3rd year listed as a sophmore (redshirt/covid year/this year?). She has yet to see the court. I feel bad for her, but it might be time to hang up the sneakers. Hats off to her. She has taken advantage of the educational opportunities, her talent provided.

What MM has done before age 18, is amazing. In my own experience, a lot of physical and mental growth took place between ages 17 and 20. I'm sure at 17, she is leap years ahead of where I was at that age. The future for this young lady is so bright. Regarding scholarships; with NIL money, I'm hoping she will have options to take her own path, be that volleyball, basketball, or both.
-
Maggie and Alexis in at the same time. Could be interesting. They played a bit together last game. Might be sign of things to come.
-
Down 10 - 5 early. Turnovers showing up. We'll need to clean that up, to give them a game.
