I feel dirty even saying it, but I love the move. Its bush league. Don't care. If after 5 games you don't have it in your scouting report that he does that thats on you. To your comment about getting T'd up for the move. My wife and I were discussing it last night(she HATED the move). My thoughts were so long as he doesn't do it any more egregiously than the way he did it the 1st time last night (it was soooo bad) he'll be fine. Its the rule. Can't just go making up technical fouls. Also, it makes me LOVE him as a player. He has to know doing that is going to make him a target for hard fouls, cheapshots, and generally the other teams best shot. He doesn't care. Goes out and busts his hump a D. I love it. And I love he is on our team

My thinking is this - I must preface this with I have no idea how good Oregon is. I just assume that are comparable, in talent, to at least one other Big 10 school. So. This game will better prepare is for the conference slate. If the Big 10 is gonna be as good as many on this board believe then I just don't see the benefit in some incarnate scrub team. PLUS how cool would it be to see this match up! Come on 2020 throw us a curveball!

He hustles. He looks to me like he leaves it all out on the court every time he plays. I think thats why I like him so much. I like what he brings to the table on D. He looks stronger and able to hold his position better this year. And there is no question in my mind he will get stronger each offseason. He's going to play again a lot this year by default. That experience will pay dividends one day. And hey, I'm a Nebraska Basketball fan, I'm patient. I can wait. Been doin' it for years

I can only speak for myself here, but I just expected so much more from his development over the offseason. Especially after seeing the few videos he posted on social media. He looked much more explosive and his body was drastically transformed. I never expected him to be anything more that a solid role player in the post. But, I thought that would be on offense and defence. Now I'm not sure he ever develops much of an offense. I mean you can't get him any closer to the basket with the ball. And those hands are so bad. I am really down on him ever developing much more touch. I still believe he can develop into a solid role player, but now I think it will only be for rebounds and defense.

There was one point toward the end of the game he was struggling to gather up the ball for an inbounds after a made basket and it looked like he was swatting at the ball with hammers attached to his hands -

Nebrasketball giveth and Nebrasetball taketh away. Yvan. Oof. I expected more gains in his game from the offseason work he put in. He was last in minutes so I don't think they go down much. I really like Webster. He seems to get so high so quick on his jump shot. I really like this team and am still pretty high on them. But I think I can temper down my Cinderella run into the tourney daydreams for a moment -

This is where I land. I think he will be a beast as a senior. At 20. -

Went back and looked at the mins and he was tied for 7th. If he played 2m less he would have been 9th. I think he probably stays in that position 7th - 9th but the mins fluctuate as hes needed for his roll. I'm so stoked for this season! Also, I agree. I see his role as a banger. Go use that big frame. Hustle. Reboud. Kick it out. -

So this has me thinking. I believe Yvan is more than capable of holding down the 5 when we need him too until December. THEN Andre back in December. And then Walker January. Pretty sweet that we have reinforcements coming. Especially if they are at least as competent at a traditional 5 as Yvan. And Honestly the bar isn't all that high. And again, #1 Yvan fan here. And the reasons Norm has been giving that it isn't at all unreasonable that Walker does better than Yvan have persuaded me a bit. What I am trying to say is I am amped and we got reinforcements coming -

I am as about as high as one could be on this kid, but I was perplexed by this. Not because I thought he was gonna fill it up on the offensive stat sheet. Dude had rock hands last year. They got a little better. Still brings the ball down a lot or gets small when he has the ball in a scoring position. I was perplewed because he shot so much. To be fair it was point blank, but that only confirms he probably shouldn't be shooting it much. But I did like what I saw on D and rebounding. Last year he got bumbed and backed down. He used his body better today. Much stronger. Got from the paint to the top of the key back down to the paint quick. Held people up enough for help D. I think he'll hold his own this year on D. Doesn't need to worry about offence because man o man does it look like we got some dudes that can score! -

Preliminary starting lineup for 21-22

I would hope not. He was tough to watch. Just a black hole. Although in the beging I was mesmerized by what could have been. He had that one drive down the middle of the lane(oops left side of the lane). Man o man it could have been amazing. This one! -
The mop. I love it!

As per last year I just don't know the faces of the players. Whos the kid out there rockin' it like Busy Bone?
-
Agreed. This is the year it STARTS. That video of his this offseason...if he leaps that high that fast he will block shots and make people think twice about coming into the paint. Its cumulative though. The length thats on the perimeter gives him that much more time to identify penetration and swat the shit out of the basketball. At a minimum alter the shot. I saw that kid BATTLE last year. Now, he lost way more than he won. This year I think its a 50/50 floor.

I believe that will be Yvan Ouedraogo defining role while at Nebraska and will start to be established this season.
