Nothin' a quick trip to Colorado can't fix

Just spit ballin' here. A few posts elude to this being about medical marijuana. And the phrase "healthcare" issue continues to be used. An aside, I have worked in healthcare for 20+ years. Never, not once, have I heard any person use the phrase "healthcare" issue. Not a Dr, RN, PT, OT, CNA, Case Manager, Administrator, and not one patient EVER. So here is my pure speculation from the info from this board(you are all my only sources ). I am wondering what the NCAA policy is on the use of Medical Marijuana. Now I understand it's probably pop (+) and you're suspended (purely a guess). But let's say a player has a UA scheduled. Player also has a documented medical Rx for Cannabis. Tells coach this before they pee into a cup because it's gonna be (+). The player then doesn't pee in a cup (or does). The player is then given a month (time still generally thought for THC to metabolize) to give a "clean" urine sample. And since the marijuana is a prescribed medication what we have now is a "healthcare" issue.

I have followed three sports teams for the last 30ish years. Nebraska basketball, Nebraska football, and the USMNT. In a past life I really must have pissed off some God over something. My point is I have a feeling my debt has been paid and we're gonna have some fun watching this WC -

Just for curiosity what was Nebraskas ranking the last 3 years? Please, if someone would be so kind -
I get it. But the type of money that Hoiberg came into this job with was in a different area code than Frost. Both of which are on a different planet than me and 99.9% of the rest of us.
-
Yup. Also makes sense to me why Hoiberg would be ok with a verbal agreement since he already came into this job with 10's of millions of dollars.
-
What do you suppose Hoiberg's (unwritten) metric was?

How about worst record of any power 5 coach over the last 3 years. Surely we can judge him against his peers. -

https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/colleges/heat-on-hoiberg-after-3-straight-20-loss-seasons-at-nebraska/2022/10/19/e987a0ac-4fd0-11ed-ada8-04e6e6bf8b19_story.html "The 24 wins under Hoiberg are fewest among Power Five teams the last three years and the Huskers have three straight 20-loss records after never having had any in 123 previous seasons. They also have five losses in home “buy” games, the ones where a low- or mid-major opponent is supposed to take a lopsided beating and leave with a paycheck." Its crazy to me that another losing season and Hoiberg keeps his job. -

⁹ Are you my long lost twin brother separated at birth? Are you in my damn head? My thinking aligns EXACTLY with yours too often to be coincidence

An underdog is an underdog is an underdog regardless which conference they come from. Duke vs Kentucky is BORING. And its only gonna get more boring as we get further along in the NIL era. Watching bought teams isn't fun. A bigger tent fixes that. Or at least tries to. We still probably end up with Duke vs Kentucky though
-
I think your analysis is correct only if the assumption used is that if the tournament expands the same format for the current 68 that make the field stays the same then the next 60 teams that make it is in some sort of ranked order. Which would obviously favor the power conferences. An easy fix to your theory is to make AQ's the regular season conference champs AND tournament winners.
-
Gonna be the dissenting voice here. Go to 128. It's not the 64 best teams. And I like it. Once the tournament gets to the Sweet 16 It starts to get boring. What I think makes the tournament great is the 1st two rounds. Especially when chaos ensues and upsets are everywhere. I'd bet money in the years when more upsets happen (especially from double digit seeds) the viewership is higher. So go to 128 and create more chaos

But we can't rule it out
