  1. Apparently someone agreed with me No need to complain about Hoiberg or anything related to his offense or lack there of. His record will speak for itself.
  2. Too big of a risk with very little reward. Good job on compliance/medical "blowing" it up.
  3. Not much to add. This was the 1st game I actually saw so I have been trying to keep an open mind. A couple of themes have been rambling around this board since the 1st two exhibition game I agree with. (1) This will be a much easier team to cheer for than other Hoiberg teams (2) It's gonna be a long season I am not confident stating we will be at least 3 - 1 after the 1st four games.
  4. Oh totally. But I will never again underestimate the ability of the absolute worst outcome to be what happens at Nebraska I am intrigued by the Army guy
  5. Yup. This. So far
  6. If Balham doesn't have old man knees that team goes dancing! Fight me! *Or was it feet? Regardless...Fight me!
  7. Nothin' a quick trip to Colorado can't fix
  8. Just spit ballin' here. A few posts elude to this being about medical marijuana. And the phrase "healthcare" issue continues to be used. An aside, I have worked in healthcare for 20+ years. Never, not once, have I heard any person use the phrase "healthcare" issue. Not a Dr, RN, PT, OT, CNA, Case Manager, Administrator, and not one patient EVER. So here is my pure speculation from the info from this board(you are all my only sources ). I am wondering what the NCAA policy is on the use of Medical Marijuana. Now I understand it's probably pop (+) and you're suspended (purely a guess). But let's say a player has a UA scheduled. Player also has a documented medical Rx for Cannabis. Tells coach this before they pee into a cup because it's gonna be (+). The player then doesn't pee in a cup (or does). The player is then given a month (time still generally thought for THC to metabolize) to give a "clean" urine sample. And since the marijuana is a prescribed medication what we have now is a "healthcare" issue.
  9. I have followed three sports teams for the last 30ish years. Nebraska basketball, Nebraska football, and the USMNT. In a past life I really must have pissed off some God over something. My point is I have a feeling my debt has been paid and we're gonna have some fun watching this WC
  10. HHP comin' in hot! I love it It begins...Buckle up ladies and gentlemen its gonna be a loooooooong season.
  11. Yeah, "healthcare" reasons has to be about the most awkward way to phrase "medical" reasons.
  12. Well Hoibergs had 3 soooooooo...maybe we let this play out a bit more.
  13. Neb 54 Maine 51 Non Con 6 Total 10 *I reserve the right to change this down after reading the game thread and learning about DW
  14. Thank you. Before I asked I spent about 15 min trying to find this. I was like did I imagine this existed?
  15. Just for curiosity what was Nebraskas ranking the last 3 years? Please, if someone would be so kind
  16. I get it. But the type of money that Hoiberg came into this job with was in a different area code than Frost. Both of which are on a different planet than me and 99.9% of the rest of us.
  17. Yup. Also makes sense to me why Hoiberg would be ok with a verbal agreement since he already came into this job with 10's of millions of dollars.
  18. How about worst record of any power 5 coach over the last 3 years. Surely we can judge him against his peers.
  19. Seems more than qualified to me...maybe you just don't like what he has to say
  20. https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/colleges/heat-on-hoiberg-after-3-straight-20-loss-seasons-at-nebraska/2022/10/19/e987a0ac-4fd0-11ed-ada8-04e6e6bf8b19_story.html "The 24 wins under Hoiberg are fewest among Power Five teams the last three years and the Huskers have three straight 20-loss records after never having had any in 123 previous seasons. They also have five losses in home “buy” games, the ones where a low- or mid-major opponent is supposed to take a lopsided beating and leave with a paycheck." Its crazy to me that another losing season and Hoiberg keeps his job.
