  1. god, what an awful sequence there.
  2. there we go. nice D and then a bucket.
  3. yeah, that first one looked legit.
  4. i would've been the bored looking hippy.
  5. They ain't got nothing to lose. Let it all hang out. GO BIG RED!
  6. (gulp) there's a recruiting board? oh......
  7. The team I saw on TV fought pretty hard. It was impressive just to get to overtime. I think you're right, HB. Gotta find a way to get a couple of other players to step up and make the defense not swarm 2 or 3 players. But on D we struggled against Purdue's post game. Their players seemed a little quicker, especially down low. But in spite of all that, Hooper has an average game, we probably win that one.
  8. quality nailbiter this one. Couldn't defend Purdue well in the paint, and Hooper was off today. Pretty evenly matched squads. Have a feeling they'll meet in the tourney again.
  9. exactly mine as well. i think ray as a senior is going to be pretty good. it's hard to rank newbies regardless of talent over experience, but i think tai's one of the most talented guards we've recruited in years. pitchford will look good just being the primary big.
  10. We Don't Need No Stinkin' Badgers--67 Husker (Lack of) Power-55
  11. @cip--I still haven't figured out the video thing, which makes me kind of sad, although not sad enough to spend much time figuring it out. I'm also still sad about being limited to 50kb on the avatar. Losing Stacy D left a void.
  12. Whilst watching us melt down in the 4th today, I was thinking about the highlights from last year's basketball season. And as disappointing as the year was, I found myself hoping we could at least match the quality of wht I thought were the two wonderful things about hoops in 2011-2012. My number one highlight was Caleb's dunk on the alley oop. That was as good as any college dunk you will ever see. My number two, though, is the guilty pleasure of making Myers Leonard cry. That's not my nature to be cruel like that, but I'm hoping that maybe we can make some other star in the league sob this season. That would actually be a pretty good poll: Who will the Huskers reduce to tears in the upcoming season? And you can answer "their fans", if you'd like. Anyway, just musing out loud today. Happy New Year everyone!
  13. This one hurts. OSU-77 NU-44
  14. might as well rest the injured for that game since it'll be a manhandling anyway. still wrapping my head around the notion that losing a walk on is a significant blow.
  15. Sam might have better meds than I do. 6 wins? Yeah, I'd say the hoopheads he knows would be pretty thrilled with that.
  16. woo hoo! cracked the 200 mark in Pom! thanks to whichever of our opponents who were winning!
  17. then you can explain to the rest of us what epic futility is all about! it'll be perfect!
  18. As much as I disagreed with your JSU card I agreed with this one Dave. I had no problem with it. It's not like it's going on anyones transcripts or anything... This is a hard year to be a fan, and for us, it seems we've had a few over the last few years. Frustration is understandable. Let's think of all this as training to be Cubs fans!
  19. actually, i think this is about right. i'll be happy as heck if we can win 3-4 games in this conference.
  20. well, we gotta enjoy this one the best we can. going to be a bit of a drought for awhile now. but I'll take 9 for non conf happily.
  21. True. We have to be absolutely wedded to the hot hand for this season. Any hot hand.
  22. Nice call tcp. I'm sure Miles was thinking the same thing. Hard not to. Only guy hitting from the line.
  23. thank goodness for brandon here at the end.
  24. and then talley fouls. sheesh. seniors gotta know better.
