  1. Purdue is definitely not to be written off. They're 3-2, they had a tough schedule in the non conf. They have a terrific coach. Purdue has enough to drag themselves onto a bubble.
  2. I agree that it's too early to be tossing Benny to the barracudas. Look at Rivers from last year, and Gallegos from two years ago. It might not work out, but for freshmen, it's wise to give it a little time. Shavon's emergence is wonderful, but it is unusual as well.
  3. Interesting game. Two teams that know the opponent is their best chance all year for a win. Few things are worse than the dogfight to avoid last place. So this is the Sliver of Pride Bowl. The team with the bigger sliver should win. I think it's us. NU-61 PSU-54
  4. he certainly had enough time on those 3's to record his debut album, too.
  5. well, hole was too big. glad the guys fought back tho. byrd was the difference when it mattered most.
  6. credit purdue. byrd kept them alive and that'll probably do it.
  7. if we don't keep someone on byrd we will lose. that guy's killing us.
  8. gotta shadow byrd. killing our runs.
  9. woo hoo! this tyrance discovery is very nice.
  10. well, that was 'meh'. let's hope they find some life in that locker room.
  11. crap call on andre there.
  12. let me just pick up my jaw from the floor. tyrance!
  13. man, they have a free pass in the paint. not good.
  14. tcp, one of my nephews who is part of our business, knows Mr. Nugent. better him than me! heh heh.
  15. evening mr. cip. i see tommy shaw on my screen and i'm not sure if I should press play. styx or the yankees? guess i have to press the button to find out. GBR!! phew, styx...
  16. If we don't win one of the next four, we're probably going to go winless for the season.
  17. My biggest reservation about getting too giddy about wins is that I see their achille's heel as being too tired to finish a game. That's the kind of weakness that will be as important against PSU as it is against OSU. Anyone with even a functional bench is going to have an advantage, unless we get a big enough lead to burn down, which I think we can against a team like PSU. This next stretch of games will be good to test this theory and see if it's worth a crap.
  18. That would be the smart choice, wonder if Fisher would leave at his age. He's ancient and the guy's in love with San Diego. I don't see him leaving the Aztecs for almost any reason at this point. He has a great thing going down there. SC will go after someone up for the challenge of program building and dealing with their rabid (and loaded) alumni. I don't think after Fischer's Michigan experience that he ever wants to deal with that kind of alumni community ever again.
  19. I don't expect a win at all. Part of the "miracle in michigan" is that both teams overlooked us. Purdue, like us, can't afford to do that. So they probably won't. They know they can be beat. Should be a pretty close game, though. I just hope we come out with the same urgency we did in both Michigan games. We'll need it to win.
  20. I get the argument here. I think the UTEP performance already put him in line for more minutes since he already demonstrated wht he could do prior to this game. I'm one of those guys who thought David was probably a bust, but as we're seeing, some of these guys probably just needed to be handled a little differently than they were.
  21. lol fired in case team started to win? USC deserves everything bad coming its way. Seriously, why let the guy even coach this far if Haden knew that?
