  1. nice press break there.
  2. wow, ray brought his shot. we'll need 'em all.
  3. dammit, lost tip. it's getting away from us! (heh)
  4. oh no, the debut album guy again. (sob)
  5. okay, time to sacrifice some chickens and get this thing going.
  6. hey, I'll take it. I'd love to win, obviously, but I'd be pretty happy if we can play well and make these guys sweat it out, too.
  7. watching the replay with michigan. minny in the paint is scary.
  8. ha! you're not asking for too much there, are ya? nope, not at all. GO BIG RED!
  9. 52-9? Did we dress the blind for that game?
  10. Would be great, but I think we're too deep into diminishing returns territory to jump that high for a great win. But it would be pretty damned cool to find out, wouldn't it?
  11. It's an ambitious line, true, but it's far from unreasonable. This is a team that plays to our every weakness, much more so than the two Michigans and Illinois. That said, I will be cheering my butt off to send many gamblers to the nearest bar.
  12. ha! Danny, leading from the rear! That's pretty funny.
  13. Fun's over for the week. Back to reality. Minny-67 Huskers-53
  14. I still like Minny this year, in spite of their little min(ny)i-slump. Only the NW loss was a bad loss (and their only bad loss of the year so far), and it was on the road. The rest were close to top teams. Anyone thinking Minny isn't a threat to hit the final 16 this year isn't paying attention. We're about to get a taste of how good this team is in a couple of days.
  15. liked the hoppen interview. thanks for posting the link.
  16. We'll get one of those last five, I'm pretty sure. I also think Iowa at home is distinctly possible now. It does suck that the Bob has to go out like this. I love that arena. But I figure the Haymarket Arena will hopefully have a better start.
  17. I had to listen to the game today, but one thing I liked going into the game was that Miles rested the team. I think it's probably what has to happen from here on out is that they can only practice so much and so hard and still have a chance to win games. I picked us to win solely because of this. Really happy for the team, since the occasional win helps keep them going for what is another nasty stretch of games coming up. Also happy for the guys on here who go to games. that must have been nice to get a win at home finally! Good news is we have a 2 game pad over PSU for 11th place. At this point, I think we'd be hard pressed to finish last. And there's still hope to eek out another spot or two. If we can pound NW at home, we can beat Iowa at home as well. It'll take the usual mid 40s percentages, but it can be done. I think 4 wins is still very possible. And if it happens, that would be amazing considering last year's squad only managed 4 wins, and they had a lot more talent.
  18. another scorching offensive exhibition and we have a 1 point lead!
  19. i can't see the game. what prompted this? Him expecting rebounding from 6 footers and Ubel. okay, thanks. makes sense now.
  20. ok, got it. i heard that, i just didn't translate it to 'ridiculous'. so I thought there was something else.
  21. i can't see the game. what prompted this?
  22. woo hoo! patented NU 6-0 run!
  23. sipple was discussing this, but rejected the idea. not sure if that means anything or not. problem is if percentage is correlated to practice, why are we shooting better on the road? i think we play differently at home. maybe tighter? or maybe less focused?
  24. The addict in me says too bad Kent isn't on the radio everyday.... i'd hate to think of how much drool i'd generate if this were the case. but so far so good! kent's beginning to sound like audrey hepburn, so this stuff must be working.
  25. another game with kent. that means an additional dose of painkillers. it'll be perfect.
