they also played us tough at home, so this is not going to be a gimme by any stretch. hope the team is dialed in. they're all big now.

separation of bubble teams is highly imperfect. we can't forget that most of the committee watch a lot of game sat the end of the season, and that experience forms a lot of their "tie breaking" methods when it comes to picking between two otherwise deserving teams. That's not going to change, quadrant scheme or no quadrant scheme (which, incidentally, I think will last for all of a whopping one season. It'll be gone for next year).

we won a game we should've won by a proper margin. find a way to sneak one on short turn at Madison and this season gets really interesting. a week off to finally rest up. with a couple of important separation opportunities coming up at home? can't ask for more at this point.

it was painful, but it was expected. it doesn't change the trajectory of making or not making the tourney. what this loss does do is remove the margin of error from a bad loss. we can't take any now. i'm a lot more concerned with how the game was played than the result. especially the end. we can't keep stumbling around drunk the last two or three minutes in a tight game. it's a tough loss, and an especially frustrating loss given the sheer volume of opportunity OSU was determined to hand us, but it's not a season breaker. It's just pathetic.

No, it sucks because we played like crap. This was gift-wrapped. Even a mediocre showing takes this game. Sure, OSU could say the same thing, but their fans can do that. It also sucks because we're still having the same problems with game management.
