After diving into the numbers just a bit more-- it wouldn't surprise me if Iowa State backdoors themselves into the last 1 seed should UNC lose to NCST here. They have just 1 loss outside of Q1 and have beaten Houston 2/3 times including today's neutral site beatdown. Not saying it will happen, but it very well could.

Iowa STRUGGLING and probably safe to say we’re the B1Gs best shot to host.

Houston was locked into a 1 seed before the committee had their first vote.

There are some bad teams that have won conference tournaments

Our saving grace if we get a 7 seed - Win over Purdue - Our Resume metrics - Just 3 losses outside of Q1 - A .500 or better record in everything except Q1A. -That beat down of Indiana that had everyone tweeting. Our nail in the coffin if we end up an 8/9 - BPI - Non Con SOS - Loss to Rutgers - A 4-7 mark in Q1

I’m mad. I don’t handle losses well. But I was just sitting here wracking my brain whether we’ve done enough for a 7 seed. And then I had to smile. I’m frickinf wondering if we did enough for a 7 seed. Not whether we’d even get in or whether the NIT would take us. special season indeed and I just had to sit back and smile

I absolutely wouldn’t. We certainly aren’t out of the 7 seed convo even if the 8 line is where we are most likely. Our Resume metrics are still in the 6 seed range.

They “didn’t” foul and we missed shots. Easy as that.
