Things Fred has done and the season hasn’t even started yet... 1. Signed our first ever 5* and a likely top 25-35 class. 2. Got us 3 Big 10 Saturday games. 3. Got us games on both Thanksgiving and Christmas. I mean is this the year?

McNeese will either be 11 AM or 8 PM.

I know it’s wishful thinking, but it’d be nice to pair with another conference where, if 2 teams from those conferences had postponements in the same week, they could be matched up against each other. Big East would probably make most sense geographically. For instance Creighton has to quarantine and DePaul loses a game. We lose a game because Rutgers has to quarantine. We would play DePaul that week.

Sounds like the Big 10 schedule will be released tonight or tomorrow.

Honestly, wouldn't be surprised to see them come out and say they are postponing the start of the season until January/February.

A few other options that came to my mind.... The schedule was already set when ISU dropped out and they didn't want to re-work it even though it hasn't been released. Some teams within the tourney didn't want 3 games. I believe that was stated early on that everyone would get "2-3 games" but 3 wasn't a hard set number.

Unfortunately, with Covid, you won’t have anything “set in stone” until teams are actually on the floor and playing. I’m sure matchups could be announced, but everything this season (as we’ve seen with football) is going to be fluid. On the flip side of ISU dropping out, we’re opening with McNeese St next week NOT part of the MTE.

Wonder how different our season looks if we had played Wisco week 2 at home. I could see 1-3, 0-4.... but I could also see 2-2 or 3-1. It’s a weird feeling.

Bryce already changing things for the Big Red. He's got our football team up by 21.

The nice thing is... with Bryce, someone took the leap. Some 5* solid player said “I’m going to do it” and now it opens the door for others to join him. Bryce is leading the flock. Now we just need to see how many more will come. There’s no glass ceiling anymore. It’s broken. Prospects can now finally say “well Bryce McGowens did it... why can’t I?”

This is so dumb.... for a variety of reasons. For a few, if they permit basketball non-con games, it's just dumb. In addition, baseball is months away... like over 3 months until the first games. That would be like the beginning of August to now. As you know a lot can happen in 3 months.

While we have had our fair share of misses, all of those misses just made today THAT much sweeter.
