(Re: Miles halftime tweet vs Penn State when they had 9 blocks on us) Opposing players are going to have to learn to make shot fakes.

Could you summarize the season, since you followed it so closely? Sure, I'll add more to this tomorrow when I have time but to start, Dixon finished the regular season 28-1. They lost to Rockford Lutheran in triple overtime back in January after leading most of the game. If I remember correctly, Dixon only had 7 or 8 players suited up for that game. On Saturday night they beat 3rd-ranked Rockford Lutheran 58-37 in their final regular season game. Roby credited their defense in that win. โHonestly, all we practice is defense, defense, defense on every drill,โ said 6-foot-8 junior small forward Isaiah Roby, a Nebraska recruit who had 17 points, three dunks, three blocks and four steals. (He also had 10 rebounds and 3 assists). http://www.rrstar.com/article/20150227/Sports/150229285 In a game last weekend that Dixon won 63-48 Roby was fairly limited offensively. I imagine he draws double-teams automatically. I think he had two dunks and scored six points but his stat line was still interesting - (6 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 6 blocks) - showing he can do just about everything. The main reason I'm interested in the AAU season is because Dixon is not much bigger than Beatrice and is located about halfway between the Quad Cites and Chicago. It's a fairly rural area for northern Illinois and AAU will definitely provide a step (or two) up in competition. Thanks Swoof, A lot to like in this report, Rebounds, Assists & Blocks too!!! (but what do you have against Beatrice? )

I'm a newcomer (only since Miles was hired) but quickly picked up on the "GOT IT." It's really infectious! Pavelka does a great job of 'painting a picture' of what's happening on the court; TV announcers pale by comparison. I'd much rather listen to radio announcers than the TV, even if they're 15 sec or so ahead of the video (Hey, that way I know in advance if he 'Got It' or not ) Really like Matt Davison's commentary too ('Oh My Goodness; I just don't know What a foul is anymore'). They make a great duo!

All of the Above!!!!! (btw, does anyone know what the record for Green Arrows is?)
-
Damn!!! I'm going to have to quit using the I-Pad (with my FAT fingers) or quit Voting! Really Didn't mean to give the OP a 'Greenie'. Now I have to give everyone else a Green arrow to make up for it! Agree with everything above. Except Miles being on notice! Does anyone really think he is on the hot seat (or doesn't feel worse than any 'fan' about the season)? He is 3 years in on a 7 year contract, and after going to the Tournament in his second year! Proof of the pudding will be his recruiting. Looking at the incoming recruits, and the fact we'd never have even sniffed the Tournament without the players he recruited his first year, I believe we'll be just fine!

Don't see it. If he can get his head right, I think he's got a chance for a Conklin-lite-ish senior season. Nothing against Walt, but it seems that teams have figured him out & he has no counter. Perhaps he maxed out last year... might not be a bad idea ift Big Red & Pitch were to mutually part ways. You never know what goes on in the inner circle (end of last year eerily similar to this for WP), on the bench. He didn't even travel last week due to a muscle injury. Are you guys sure he's 100%? We are desperately low on big men. You want to get rid of one that can be a matchup problem for the other team? Walt is a guy who has moved around quite a bit in his career. How is running somewhere else going to make him better? What goes does it do either the team or Walt for Walt to leave? Brian Christopherson @HuskerExtraBC Follow Miles said Abraham "banged his knee pretty bad," Smith swollen knee, Pitchford a little sore. "But I think we'll have enough adrenaline..." 1:40 PM - 10 Mar 2015

Passing over Shavon Shields for Honorable Mention may very well inure to our advantage! He will be a returning Senior and may be very highly motivated to prove his critics wrong! -
