What Miles could do is develop players better. If that is part of the issue here, which it sounds like it may be, then I do get it a little bit. This staff has not developed players all that well in my opinion, and we have to be able to do that, so we are less reliant on transfers.

He can most certainly play as the largest guy in a positionless type of lineup at the very least. Given that he would be checking a big guy, that makes him a 5 in such lineup. Way too many people put way too much emphasis on the exact positions anyway. That ship has sailed. As for getting matching up with York's physical play, it was only Snodgrass that was a bit of an issue from what I saw. Snodgrass physically would not take a back seat to many high school kids in the paint. He has the makings of a very skilled big man. This kid is going to be good as he fills in. Chance to be very very good. Obviously, needs to get stronger and more aggressive in general.

Yeah, this sucks. No matter what one things of his skills, this hurts us. He was still our big with the most potential to be good at the end of the year, not to mention down the road. Roby is going to have to play a lot more, and learn how to avoid silly fouls. I would like to see him start the ballgame. Go to those other guys for large minutes if we need to. But no need to pigeonhole ourselves into playing them big minutes IMO(unless certain matchups dictate it).

Good point Norm. There could be something to that. In any event, he needs to get it figured out. We are going to have to play our true centers a certain amount of minutes, and I believe our highest ceiling involves Jordy playing the majority of those.

Me too. We need to go to the positionless basketball concepts that so many NBA teams are using. This is the type of roster that requires it. And we can get more movement on offense without the big fella clogging things up so much.

While there are probably some fans that would do that, I think damn near everyone that partakes in the discussion here is far above that. Mainly why this is an incredible place.

Can't believe miles came out of last media timeout of half without Watson. Lead quickly shrinks from 7 to 3 and lucky wasn't worse. We needed to expand lead going into halftime not piss it away with asinine substitution.

Just saw this thread. Couldn't agree more. It was huge for the reasons mentioned and really huge for the fan base. It was one of the last chances at having the majority of them believe in a great season. With belief comes more noise and a better home court advantage.

What I find very discouraging is the fact we are such large underdogs against very mediocre teams like stjohns and cfu. Vegas knows what's up. What's up is that we suck at this point.

Whatever you do, do not suggest we miss Craig Smith. Our current staff is just as good at coaching. You will get lynched around here if you bring up his name for some reason.

I have often wondered if we practice enough at Pinnacle to give us an edge. Something to be said about shooting a lot in a building you are playing games at. This is a definite negative IMO to the new arena.
