I'd like to see a true PF (6'7" to 6'8" range), beefy but fairly athletic. Need help on the boards and guarding the other big guys around the league. Love Copeland and Roby, but without embracing the rebounding mentality, and it is a mentality more than anything, they are not thick enough to consistently avoid being shoved around underneath.

I haven't made any of those doomsday comments, but I think the mindset is just a result of the continued frustration of Nebrasketball. They never seem to be able to get over the proverbial hump. That game was there for the taking. Just too many STUPID mistakes (ridiculous turnovers, dumb dumb dumb fouls, stepping on the out-of-bounds line multiple times, defensive breakdowns letting Bates-Diop and 'Wreckingball' Tate get uncontested or nearly uncontested layups, allowing young Mr. Dakich to make too many plays, etc.).

The other guy's argument is ridiculous. If you make 4 or 5 of those missed FTs, the game is over 10 minutes ago. The other team's inability to score, especially 3's, has no bearing on complete incompetence at the FT line.

I think with Illinois and the harassing way they play, they speed up everything and it's extremely hard to maintain consistency. There will be spurts where you're able to harness the speed (steals and converting fast breaks), but other periods where you bog down just from trying to catch your breath and let your legs recover a bit. Even during the good spurts, I thought NU was a little out of control. Pressuring defense can do that to you.
