Wildcard with this theory is that it is Nebraska and Roby - they'll probably continue calling them on him. Also, the so-called 'star' players don't have to worry about it much at all. I closely watched Happ last night and he should have been called for several fouls while setting picks. He sets up perfectly fine, but then eases his hip out as the defender is going by. By not 'throwing' his hip out, it doesn't look as bad, but it accomplishes the same thing. One time, he even tried to impede the defender by flailing his arm out.

All but 2 so far were 1-possession games down to the wire. Pretty good match-ups and fun to watch.

Aaron Craft, Part Deux. It drives me crazy, because he gets this reputation and now all he has to do is fall to the floor, oversell it, and he'll get the call. To be fair, he does play good D, but it's not a charge every time. Unfortunately, he'll get 80%+ called his way going forward. Davison's a fairly stout dude and I find it laughable that a 180# Johnson from NC State can knock him 5 to 10 feet backwards.

Also, adding to point no. 1, because of his size, he tends to jump/float away from the defender/shot blocker in order to get a clean shot away most of the time. This, IMO, leads the Stooges to think there is never any significant contact because both players are moving in the same direction after he launches and there's not such an obvious collision like there is when the offensive players jumps toward the hoop through the defender. I'm not criticizing him, just seems he wants to make sure he gets the shot away because of the results of point no. 1.

That totally sucks. Wish you could've tried to choke him with your size 16, raked that same size 16 across his face a couple of times, kicked him in the mid-section and them hip-checked him to the floor. You would only have got a technical foul, so no big deal.

As you can tell from other recent posts, I sometimes exaggerate a bit. ?

Well, close being 3+ hours away and not really having available time to take off from work. Thought about it, but had no idea about tickets/cost (empty arena indicates that wouldn't have been a problem) and didn't want to get home at midnight.

Of course they are, buy they're wrong.? I live pretty close to Clemson. They're not necessarily known for their intellectual prowess. I agree about Roby, he seems to be a marked man. King of the ticky-tack fouls.

That's enough to make a 10 point win a one possession game.

Also, have to give credit to Clemson for setting illegal screens on most possessions and only getting whistled once.

That bastage should have been thrown out in the first half after the multiple kicks to Roby's head and mid-section.

Great job to overcome the 5 on 8 disadvantage. Three Stooges once again with their best effort to steal the win. How do you swallow the whistle when Copeland gets mugged at half court and then hip-checked to the floor by that thug 14?

Well, good comeback. Had plenty of chances but failed horribly to execute, except for last shot to try to tie it - that was a nice play, can't ask for a better shot. Lot of work to do or it's gonna be a long season.
