  1. Okay, everyone on this board and the people sitting in the synagogue of Satan in Omaha know Nebraska has to control the first five minutes of this half. GBR!
  2. No missed free throws for the Huskers the rest of the game. I decree and declare it!
  3. Blue pills say yes.
  4. 12-8 Huskers 6 minutes into it. So far, so good.
  5. Gary looks good so far. Up 2.
  6. I was not planning to contribute much to HHC this season. I can already hear it: "you've never contributed." Point well taken. I can't sit out the game against the evil from the east. We're gonna win this bitch. The last year I didn't despise this evil was when Tom Apke was the coach in the mid 70's and I knew nothing about them. By the end of his tenure, I hated them. GBR!
  7. Is 25-25 the halftime score, if that's the case, I like the Huskers chances tonight, or, is it the year Creighton finally wins a game against the Huskers?
  8. I'm not a charter member of this board, but I'm damn close. There are people I've met here who I consider very good friends. Whether it's lunch, or get togethers before Husker games, just know I cherish the time I've spent with all of you. One of my favorites is someone I've never met in person. His name is Tom Plotts. When he started posting, it was all left leaning. Of course, my posts are right leaning. Guess what? We gave each other shit and laughed about it. It's too long ago so it can't be found, but Norm joked about how Husker basketball could bring left and right together. He was right. I sure miss Norm's posts.... I want to thank everyone who contributed to tcp's cause last year. It truly touched his heart! I've pm'd Tom a couple times in the last few months. He always responds immediately. No reply. I assumed the worst, so, I reached out to the man I knew who could get an answer, HB, and he came through with an impeccable source. Tom Plotts passed away on 5-28-24. For the last several years, Tom and I talked on a regular basis. He was so proud of the work he was doing for veterans in front of the Oklahoma legislature. When he got the chance to go to DC, which you all were part of, he was so happy. I wish we could have won a game in the tourney last year. Oh well. Husker basketball and music brought Tom and me together. Music is a bond... That's why I do the video thing. RIP, mon frere!
  9. The fight won't last long. No clue who says no mas....
  10. I boarded the GG train when I read the reaction from a Rutgers board when he left for Nebraska. They knew he has talent and Hoiberg would probably get the most out of him.
  11. For you ditto heads out there, a walk down memory lane. Rhymes with...
  12. Jacob, every time you post, this song goes off in my head. Sorry. Just the way I'm wired.
  13. One could argue the best player in the state in that class was not on the team. Bart Kofoed. We went to the Metro all-star game the summer after they graduated. Kofoed was really impressive.
  14. Two birds with one stone: A reply to The Sad Day thread and this one.
  15. When Norm left, he must have taken spellcheck with him.
  16. Greg Kihn passes at age 75. Song seems appropriate.
  17. I'm sorry, Auroran. I didn't realize off topics threads were beneath you. I'm guessing you never comment on those threads...
  18. Why would you put this in the mens college basketball forum? This deserves an off topic thread all its own. When you transfer this to its own o.t. thread, there's a great story about his dad you can tell.
  19. Without looking it up, I can't tell you the new athletic director's name. To me, that's a good thing. Do great things behind the scenes, don't mess with the good, quietly fix the not so good, wash, rinse and repeat. That was never going to happen with Trev. Not necessarily his fault. He was always going to be in the spotlight, whether he wanted it or not. I like our trajectory right now. Sometimes trades work out for both teams.
  20. This was the first hit under the name Diana Ross and the Supremes. Previously, just the Supremes.
