Moved to Mich game forum

watched first half and part of 3rd quarter of the wiscy-minny game. looked like wiscy had folded their clothes and packed things up. so, i turned on something else------only to flip back to see what final score might be and wiscy had it down to like 4-5 pts. couldn't believe it. wiscy looked totally lost most of the game. anyway, credit to the badgers for making a game of it after all.

barring an unbelievable turnaround, i can't see Bobby Kelsey returning next season. pretty sure there was quite a bit of talk about that last season, too.

It's too bad WBB doesn't get more attention or fan support!   I went to the Cal game in Berkeley and the turnout was Pathetic!  Huskers had almost as many fans there rooting for them as the Bears!

Sounds as like Wisconsin wants to run jess into ground Wednesday night. QUESTION: Nebraska has one of the best freshman in the country, and she is a big girl. What challenges does she pose for you?
COACH KELSEY: Yeah, just her size, her ability, her skill. She is very skilled. She doesn't shoot three's as much as maybe a "Hooper" that was that size, Jordan Hooper, a couple of years ago, but she doesn't even know what she is doing yet and she's killing people, you know, she's making these baskets and getting all these rebounds, so the biggest thing I think you've gotta make her run, if you can get them running.

And they like to run, too, but, you know, your big's gotta run, and get up and down the floor and make her maybe chase you down a little bit. Then you've got to double-team her, and hopefully the others are not hitting, because if you double-team that means you've got a disadvantage somewhere else.

So we just gotta make sure we try to get the ball out of her hands and make her guard on the other end, maybe get her in foul trouble, but she is pretty smart. She had a monster game this last game, so we are going to definitely make sure we don't let her do what she wants and be comfortable, but she is a tough cover, because she is 6-5 and has guard skills.

Sound like there's a lot of wishful thinking by coach Kelsey.  Maybe she's not the only one to have thought they could stop Jess. At least coach Kelsey has eyes, and can see the storm coming. 

 

Let's see..... get Jess in foul trouble, out run her down the floor (wear Jess out)...oh, and no else from NU can score. And she seems to ignore Burns and Hallie...that will get her team in trouble.

 

I'm sure they'll double/triple team Jess.....but Jess's using her help more and more....feeding to other bigs and outlet passes to guards.
