for starters, 2 things where i expect to see improvement: allie havers 4.9 pts/game, and chandler smiths offensive production (which was pretty abysmal when looking at the stats). granted, she was slowed by the injury, but, i really expect chandler to make strides her sophomore season.

Basically right now we have three quality starters Rachel, Natalie and Jessica. That right there is a good nucleus to build around. The trip to Australia will do wonders for the incoming freshmen and the ones who didn't log too many minutes last season. I'm not so sure though Rachel and Jessica will be ready to play on the Australia trip, but both should be ready by October. (fingers crossed) I think the window for playing time is wide open it's just a matter of who steps up and takes that challenge and grabs those minutes.

I think the impact Jess will have for the Huskers will be a lot more than what White provided for Illinois this past season. Her and Rachel together will be so much fun to watch. I also look for both Chandler and Jasmine both to make huge strides from last season. Ally has a chance to be a force for us underneath but she's got to work and improve on the aspects of her game that have limited her with bench time her first two years. I also think we see the implementation of the 2-3 zone defense.  Rebounding could be our nemesis next season. All said I expect it to be our fifth straight year to make it to the big dance! Be great to finally see us host the first and second rounds in PBA!

One other thing stay healthy and.... beat Iowa!

actually, would love to see havers reach that 10-12 pts/game---if her playing time takes a big bump. i totally agree with mckewon when he stated that chandler has "high level instincts".

nat, nat, nat-----

If Havers plays 25-30 minutes -- which may be a stretch -- she'll reach it.

Noticed:  Yori didn't expect anyone to leave......good to hear.

Another article I read...don't think it was this one....thought we could possibly be a better rebounding team, Havers, Shepard (a rebounder in Hooper's class), Washington, Blackburn, and  Kalenta (if she improves defensively) ... just in the front court......not considering the guards, where we have some people with good instincts.

If the guard spots could just about be close to last year (as long as Rachel comes along OK), we might be in good shape.

But we'll be a very young as a team......we've got to stay away from injuries, and develop the youth quickly.
