OK, so word is we might hire Molinari as the assistant to replace Craig Smith.  The hope, then, is that he might bring WIU freshman Garrett Covington with him.  Garett is a 6'5" shooting guard who lead the Leathernecks in scoring this season as a true freshman.

 

And then there's the Garrett Covington from Atlanta, Georgia, who's a 6'4" sophomore small forward at Greater Atlanta Christian School who would be in the Class of 2016 as a high school recruit.  Can't find stats on him, but his team was 32-0 and he was on the varsity squad.

 

Y'know, I have no idea if either would wind up here.  The high school Covington could be no more than D2 material, if that.  Or, he could be the next big recruit.  The chances of us getting either one, at this point, is probably remote.

 

But wouldn't it be interesting if we had two Garrett Covingtons on our roster?  Even better if they both started.  Fire up the Pavelkatron, the soundbites would be flyin'.

The Covington from WIU only has one t at the end of his name. Maybe that is how you would tell them apart. Garret Covington.
