Could HT be one leaving ? I see where her dad is coming out of retirement to coach the Seward girls BB team again. Or does someone redshirt ?

I guess I hesitate to publically speculate on current players who might leave before their eligibility is up.  But without naming anyone, there will be departures.

For the people who have seen Kaylee Page play how would she stack up against Cady and Hopper in Athleticism. And she possibly play a wing ?

Kaylee could play a 3, she could play 4. Much is expected of her; we'll see how she takes to it. 

 

The true "wing" -- and a player you'll really, really like -- is Chandler Smith. She could be Nebraska's best volume 3-point shooter next year.

Her release seems a little low, IMO, but she can shoot and get to the hoop.

that should be a correctable shooting mechanics kinda of like retooling a hitters swing

Yes, another good analysis by Sam.  We'll need some early patience next year with all the newcomers and no bulk in the paint, but like most years, give Connie and this group some time and they'll have them improving.  We'll have the bridge to the Shepard era!

Great article! Very insightful analysis into the program! Next year should be really fun...lots of experience mixed with a lot of inexperience with potential.

 

Next year's senior class (Cady, Sample, Jeffery, Laudermill) reminds me so much of the Vonnie Turner/Cory Montgomery class, and I think next year's freshman class will carry the torch after the seniors leave...big class with the potential to have 4-5 players who make an impact all 4 years here.

 

This is slightly OT, but has anyone else noticed how much better the OWH's basketball coverage is compared to the LJS? OWH rolled out so many good articles about NU and Creighton basketball this March...better quality and quantity than Lincoln Journal Star. Just an observation.
