Hope the layoff doesn't kill them in the NCAA's... Also hope we get a good draw.  A Regional final in Lincoln would be about as crazy as the Wisconsin game...

Charley Creme of ESPN's Bracketology has us as a 3 seed now in the Seattle regional going up against Idaho as the 14th seed. Gonzaga is the 6th seed and USC is the 11th seed also in Seattle.

THE MODERATOR: We'll get started with an opening statement from coach and then take questions for the student athletes.

COACH LISA BLUDER: Just want to congratulate Nebraska on their victory. Proud of my kids. I'm proud of their effort. I thought we battled. We had to go through some tough situations with some foul trouble. It was free throws, team shots, 36 free throws to your 14 and then the box outs.

If I remember right she bitched last year too when we beat them about us getting to the line more than them. Even her players brought free throws up.

Q. What led to such a poor start for you guys?

SAMANTHA LOGIC: I think what coach said. It was, they got to the free throw line 18 times, tough to be out-scored by 11 at the free throw line in the first half. Even in the first half we were shooting better than them, just they got put on the line.

Q. Can you take us through the technical foul there?

COACH LISA BLUDER: Yeah, I stomped my foot and that was why I got my technical foot. Because I stomped my foot. Now I stomp my foot at my kids, kind of a habit I do all the time and I've never gotten a technical for stomping my foot, but today I did. And I don't think I had had one in 10 years, I don't remember the last one I had. Seems like a crazy time to get one and I take full responsibility for that. It was a bad time to get it, and I apologized to the team immediately for that. Wish I could have taken it back, but it's almost a reflex.

Was it really for stomping her foot? Or was it the fact that she was getting beat by that team that isn't Iowa's rival for the 8th straight time and she had to take her frustrations out on the nearest moving thing close to her, this time being Tina Napier the ref!

I don't know if you seen on tv, But she got warned earlier to stay in her box by the light haired ref. And all those fouls that got called on them were legit, And had all been called no one left to play for Iowa.

One more thought on these big ten teams do they go to WWE wrestling school every time The Huskers go for a board they have to fight an arm bar or a hip check to get the board. No wonder they can't believe they get a foul. If the refs would call this during the season it wwouldn't be an issue in tourney play. And now that the Huskers have been in the league 3 yrs. You would think that the other teams would figure out that the Huskers can take the rough play and stay focused. Unlike some other teams that the Huskers beat in the tourney.
