Handy Johnson Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 If anyone is going to the Paladins/Junior Brown show on Friday let's party. Ol' Handy will be wearing a blue collared "Bad Brains" shirt. Stop by and say "hi" and we can break down the new season and all things Husker Hoops related! Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 I am hoping to get down there for those 2 shows. Haven't come up with I'm wearing yet. I will look for ya. Quote
Nighthawk Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 Going Friday...looking forward to the SRB. Quote
imnothipp Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 Sorry I am going to miss it. Sounds like a great show. I do, however, have tickets to James McMurtry on Tuesday night at the Waiting Room, Quote
jimmykc Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 If Silverback just removes his shirt, you can recognize him by the hair. hhcmatt and Silverbacked1 2 Quote

Handy Johnson Posted July 8, 2013 Author Report Posted July 8, 2013 After spending a week in Lincoln hanging out at the Zoo Bar, I was further reminded what a special place the Star City is. Just wonderful people , good times and an optimism around town the I haven't seen in awhile. Like they say, Husker Pride, Nationwide! Quote
Nighthawk Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 I have to say that the Zoo Bar is a wonderful anomaly. I was watching Bar Rescue the other day on TV and they were trying to save a blues bar in Vegas. In the show it said (I'm not exactly sure where they get their stats from) only 3% of music listened to is blues music so most blues bars are going to have a tough time surviving. 40 years is an amazing accomplishment. atskooc Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 I think he said 3% of the population lists blues as a favorite type of music...but the point still stands. I thought of the Zoo as soon as I heard that as well. Quote
Handy Johnson Posted July 9, 2013 Author Report Posted July 9, 2013 That means a whopping 97% of the population are dumbsh**s! Quote
