After spending a week in Lincoln hanging out at the Zoo Bar, I was further reminded what a special place the Star City is. Just wonderful people , good times and an optimism around town the I haven't seen in awhile. Like they say, Husker Pride, Nationwide!

I have to say that the Zoo Bar is a wonderful anomaly.  I was watching Bar Rescue the other day on TV and they were trying to save a blues bar in Vegas.  In the show it said (I'm not exactly sure where they get their stats from) only 3% of music listened to is blues music so most blues bars are going to have a tough time surviving. 40 years is an amazing accomplishment.

I think he said 3% of the population lists blues as a favorite type of music...but the point still stands.  I thought of the Zoo as soon as I heard that as well.
