MandRHusker Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 6'11" center is transferring from SMU. He averaged 15 pts & 11 rebounds his senior year of HS and was New Jersey all state. High 3 star to 4 star, depending on the recruiting service. Before choosing SMU had offers from Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Georgetown, Virginia Tech, and Temple.Coach Smith was his recruiting lead from CSU. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 SMU is getting one of the top juco centers coming in this year. Moreira I think is the name. Yannick Moreira? Something like that. Is this Blaise kid a grad transfer or will he have to sit out a year? Quote
The Polish Rifle Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 He was a freshman last year and redshirted. 3 star by scout and rivals. 4 star by espn. Great size, legit 7 footer. Quote
hhcmatt Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 He averaged 15 pts & 11 rebounds This would be a high school average as he redshirted last year Quote
hhcmatt Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 Comment from an SMU fan on CBS sports...btw is the SMU APR going to be above 400 in the next couple of years? SMU has the No. 14 incoming freshman class in the country based on Rivals, including McDonalds All-American Keith Frazier. SMU also had three transfers sitting out last season. It has been a well-known fact to anybody to pays attention SMU would have 16 players for 13 scholarships in 2013-4 and three would have to go. 2012-3 was an audition, and Larry has made his decision. No real news here, although thanks for the mention and the country should probably start getting used to SMU basketball news. Quote
MandRHusker Posted April 24, 2013 Author Report Posted April 24, 2013 He averaged 15 pts & 11 rebounds This would be a high school average as he redshirted last year Yes, high school. I see I didn't make that clear. Now corrected. hhcmatt 1 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 The country should start getting used to SMU basketball news, huh? Quote
Huskerpapa Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 He would have to sit out a year and since he already redshirted, he would lose a year of eligibility. My guess, he goes JUCO and then reopens the recruiting process. hhcmatt 1 Quote
