hskr4life Posted March 22 Report Posted March 22 Not a huge wrestling guy, but the Huskers have been having themselves an NCAA Championships to remember. They are going to have 8 All-Americans (guaranteed medal) and will have three wrestlers in the national championship matches tomorrow. In addition, we are only a few points behind Penn State in the team title race and we're well ahead of Oklahoma St and Iowa. Those are two really good teams I guess. LincecumFan 1 Quote
throwback Posted March 22 Report Posted March 22 NU going to finish ahead of Iowa at the B1G and NCAA meets. Will the state just implode? Quote
LincecumFan Posted March 22 Report Posted March 22 The medal round is currently on ESPNU. The finals are tonight at 6:00 pm CDT. Not sure which ESPN channel they will be on. Quote
throwback Posted March 23 Report Posted March 23 (edited) NU's Taylor from Millard South also an individual champion - whatever the staff / team did to get ready for the postseason needs to be bottled. Insane how well they performed at the B1G and NCAA meets. I did not have NU wrestling on my bingo card as the Husker team that would have the highest national tournament finish in 2024-25. (I supposed bowling can still catch them. And baseball could go on a 40-ish game win streak from here to claim the CWS. Fingers crossed.) Edited March 23 by throwback Quote

If softball can find some pitching to go along with Jordy, they could be in contention for that natty too. Quote

Things have trended up for football and basketball as well in the past 2+ years. Baseball needs to pick up the pace this year, but last year they won the B1G tourney! Maybe the men are ALL on the rise! One can hope. GBR Quote
