According to this On3 2024-2025 Women's Basketball Transfer Portal Tracker - On3 there are over 1100 players in the portal right now.  Seems like we should be able to pick up a few.

Penn st. losses 4 of the 5 of the freshman class. PSU is a hot mess, only 3 players left on the roster

If I heard the commentators correctly, TC had 12 transfers in after last season - and two of those transfers in became transfers out w/o ever setting foot on campus - apparently after learning of later transfers who would have affected their playing time. Maybe the next liberalization of the rules will permit players to transfer at halftime.

Georgia Tech has several players in the portal that we should be familiar and they with us.  Here are a few bigs but the best one is Serah Williams from Wisconsin.  I don’t know if the new coach can pull her back.  Williams would make us very good next year.  Surprised that Cotie McMahon of Ohio St is in the portal.

Geez, I'm almost thinking every player should automatically be put in the portal when it opens, then let all the coaches recruit again.  I'm joking, of course.
