We get to the LSU starter for 5 runs on 6 hits for the 1st 3 innings.  He is still in there through 6.  We have 1 hit since then.  A soft infield single.

These radio guys are ripping into the home plate umpire.   Can't see it, so tough to comment.  They did mention LSU's coach has lengthy discussions with the home plate ump between innings.  Seems to be working.

Hi hum just another day in Husker athletics. Gosh I sometimes wonder why God made me love this athletic program so much.

The football team in the 90's eases a little of my pain.

We have enough starting pitching.   Now, need to find some bullpen arms, and bats.  This schedule should allow us a chance to get to the upper 30's in the win column for a chance to host.

They’ve been complaining all game. During innings, after a review. Between frames.

Disappointing after getting that great start, but LSU can really score. How UNO no-hit them for almost 8 innings last week might be the biggest mystery since why NU hoops can't seem to decide to start playing until they're down by 15-20 pts.

Nunez continues to be a major bright spot - nice to see Frost get going, too. Surprised by Sanderson's slow start. We need him to have a big year.

I have no idea what the coaches see in Clark. Of course, considering how the guys performed after him -- outside of Jasa's one good inning -- probably wouldn't have mattered much.

Huge, huge game tomorrow. Come home with another non-winning weekend, and our regional hosting chances are almost certainly gone. Unfortunately, K-State is rolling after a tough first weekend. We'll have to earn it. Need Brockett & Christo to be brilliant. Wouldn't surprise me if we get Worthley for a couple lefty batters if it's tight and ask Broderick to go multiple innings.

Sounds like Mac felt a little tweak last night - with pitchers, that's not good. Hopefully he felt it early enough and shut things down before any injury occurred. Hoping for the best - we definitely need him.

Just a disaster of a first few weekends. Hopefully we forget about things like rankings and hosting and just go out and play ball now. We can still be a really scary two seed but we’re going to need bats and we’re going to need Mason.

Well, have to give Bolt credit for trying to ramp up the schedule strength with a veteran team back, but it didn't work. And I'm not sure the schedule even ended up as tough as it looked before the season. Didn't hit or pitch up to our capabilities for sure.

4-6 not good enough, obviously, for what we needed to do to host a regional. As a northern team, you only get so many chances and nearly all of them come early, so you have to take advantage. Absent of a miracle of winning 35+ of our last 46 (probably 45 after Tuesday's game gets rained out), no shot at hosting a regional. Maybe if we win the B1G regular season, get 2 of 3 from Oregon St and win the other 2 games vs K-State.

Have to focus now on trying to play well in conference games and in the midweeks. With the schedule strength so far, we certainly haven't played out our way out of an NCAA chance, so just have to try to pick things up from here. Hopefully we didn't hurt our confidence too much and some of our vets can get going at home.

Highly doubtful we can play Tuesday's game at UNO, and Wednesday's game vs South Dak St will depend on how much rain/snow we get Tuesday night, but the other games on the homestand should be OK weather wise.  Need a bunch of wins to try to get rolling before the long trip out to LA.

UNO should be easy to reschedule/move up. Wouldn't mind us trying to get that game in at like 11 AM/Noon... or even see about playing today... but probably won't happen and I know it's not that easy.

I'd be on the horn with SDSU right now trying to get that thing rescheduled already.

Bolt hates playing 5 games in a week, so if South Dakota St gets rained out, I doubt we make it up. And the dates that SDSU is traveling south to play a weekend series don't line up well with our schedule. So I'd imagine we either play it Wednesday or it's out.

I'm honestly a little surprised he agreed to reschedule Omaha because that gives us 5 games that week, but that's such a big game for Omaha revenue-wise at their new field, I'm sure NU kind of feels obligated to make sure it gets played somehow. Plus we have home weekend series before and after the April 2 Omaha rescheduled game, so not having to travel before or after makes it easier to squeeze in another midweek game.
