hhcmatt Posted July 15, 2020 Report Posted July 15, 2020 Seems like he has the right skillset to be a stretch 4 but his outside shot seems a bit unorthodox. He appears to be leaning in at an angle when taking them. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/12147452/5e78fe2657982217a82fb708 Quote
aphilso1 Posted July 15, 2020 Report Posted July 15, 2020 His high school is only 20 minutes away from me, so I may try to swing down and gather some firsthand scouting for you fine HHC folks. That's assuming that a Utah high school basketball season occurs, which right now is being debated. Quote
aphilso1 Posted July 15, 2020 Report Posted July 15, 2020 Just a little bit of added intel -- Potter's grandfather was BYU's head basketball coach in the 70's, and Potter's football coach played tight end for BYU in the late 80's. That plus the fact that Layton is a very heavily LDS community means that the Cougs will be a tough team to beat for his recruitment. Never say never...but this one is an uphill battle. Quote
Huskerpapa Posted July 16, 2020 Report Posted July 16, 2020 Coach Potter waa my Basketball Philosophy course teacher way back when. He was a bastion of knowledge and was very easy to talk to. Quote
