Mike Daum and South Dakota State's epic 90 point 1st half

Mike Daum had 26 points and 12 rebounds in the FIRST HALF as SDSU had 90 points in the first 20 minutes of a 139-72 win! Whoa.

Playing that level of competition is doing nothing for him.  He might as well be playing at a YMCA.  IMHO he should have leveraged a senior transfer to somewhere (Nebraska) or gone pro.  Again, it is just my opinion.

I kind of have the same feelings.  We already knew he could do that at the lower levels.  So last night wasn’t much of a surprise.  The fact the team scored 90 in a half was more surprising than his stat line.  I would have liked to see what he could do for a full year against good competition.

Daum is a good teammate and friend to the guys on his team, and Mike will break a bunch of the Jacks records along the way. If that's what is a concern, then he's doing all right. Loyalty isn't a problem, in my opinion. He'll get his B1G shot at the NBA draft combine.

SDSU could have been shutout in the 2nd half, and won by 18 points!!

Then Daum only scored 5 pts in SDSU's loss to Tre-Shawn Thurman's Nevada-Reno squad. Whoa.
