Husker Joe Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Just wondering why Maddie doesn't get more minutes. When she does play it seems she is on a pretty short lease. One mistake and she's back on the bench. To me it looks like she has a lot of upside potential and with more minutes and confidence that one mistake doesn't get her pulled she would make great gains. caveman Posted February 18, 2017 Report Posted February 18, 2017 Sports 101 get the ball in the hands of your best athlete and let them make a play. Normally shes the best athlete on the floor the second she steps foot on the court. That being said she plays timid and robotic. Long story short, the mistakes look to me like they are happening cause she's too affraid to make mistakes, she needs to just relax and play. If she would cut loose and play she'd be hard to stop. More minutes less minutes, not sure what's needed, just get your best athlete performing at a high level. mwm89 and Silverbacked1 2 Quote

redsteve Posted February 18, 2017 Report Posted February 18, 2017 (edited) Maddie, like every one on the roster need to continue to improve their skills. Some just have developed those skills sooner than others. She's getting better, and will continue to do so. Coach will decide when she's ready and how she contributes...like everyone on the roster. In some ways, the current make up of the team, may not allow Maddie to get the full use of her skills. Edited February 18, 2017 by redsteve Quote

So maybe next year will be her year; in that she will have a year and a summer to get the system down. whoopdeedoo 1 Quote
