I've said it before and I'll say it again...for what it's worth..not having a yell squad impacts a lot of it. Heck the cheerleaders would do more than dance it might help. I was watching the Indiana game and when we would go shoot..the cheer leaders would be standing up on on the end of the court shaking their Indiana signs..not that it's a distraction, but it's a hell of a lot more than standing over behind the PA announcers table by the students. When we had a yell squad..the guy would do their yells and the crowd would join in...they would bang on their megaphones and the crowd would clap...they'd stomp their feet and the crowd would follow. The cheerleaders and dance squad don't do much more than the occasional Husker Power chant. Hell we don't even take a key from KU and once the game gets to a point of being a win do the Husker Power Chant then. I mean KU does their very slow...almost haunting ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK chant once the game is pretty much in hand. Not saying we need to do what other schools are doing, but there's just not the energy that you see from our team's fans. They get loud but it's not consistent.

Great win... However...Those darn free throws!!! Oh and how many refs does it take to get a coaching staff to chill out before giving them a technical. Maybe it's just me...But this was one of the worst officiated games I have ever seen. Anyhow...On to Sunday.

It would help if we had a bit more animated cheer squad. I know we don't have the yell squad (only school in the big 10 without one I believe). But they really don't do a lot to energize the crowd like they did back in the day. When the opposing team is shooting free throws they sit. Did you notice when we played Indiana their cheerleaders stood up with IU signed and waved them? Not that it did anything, but it's a hell of a lot better than sitting. As much as I like looking at beautiful women, they aren't much entertainment at the games. Maybe it's just my childhood imagine, but back in the day when we had a yell squad it was a lot more energetic both on and off the court.

The last game 9 women showed up with about 8 minutes to go in the game and couldn't figure where their seats were.

My compliant about this whole deal and this is probably directed more at the coach than anything. He shouldn't use the low fan turnout and the weather as an excuse. Don't put the players pathetic performance yesterday on the fans. The fans don't coach; the fans don't suit up...playing like they did yesterday they might have the same turnout towards the end of the season. The U needs to stop bringing in these halftime entertainment shows and start focusing on putting out quality basketball. The whole team needs a fire lit under their asses. Coaches as well as players. If Coach Miles is on the hot seat...the whole team should be feeling that heat...not just him.

We'll just got off the phone with my dad...We aren't going to the game...So if anyone wants to sit down in 103 row 21 seats 3-4 have at it.

What channel is the game on? Depending on weather and my dad..I might not make it. Saying -29 below wind chill tomorrow morning. I don't see it getting much better by game time.

yet another year of losing to Creighton, no disrespect to them...they deserve to be winning the way we play and the way they play...HOWEVER every year I dislike them more and more. Our team needs to get a fire lit under their seats at the start of this game...until they can walk the walk they probably need to just go into the game without saying a word and just let the energy out at game time and not prior to.

haha...true...us fans totally remember. But for the whole team (I'm thinking coaches included) this will be a totally new experience.
