  1. Wasn’t there at one time a company that put out a pre mixed whisky and no name cola in a bottle? Or have I just been to the bar one to many times.
  2. Its Coke, Mt Dew, Dr Pepper, Water, a good chunk of the sodas over at Rocket Fizz, dying of thirst, and lastly Pepsi (and tied with Pepsi any variations of Pepsi) for me.
  3. Bummer...I heard it was Santa Claus vs the Martians.
  4. I was wondering if Roby was under the weather.
  5. Yup I’ve pretty much given up to drinking water or Mountain Dew at the games. Pepsi is pure garbage.
  6. If we ever get away from Adidas I hope that means we are also on the verge of breaking the pepsi curse and going back to Coke.
  7. I'm guessing those were the AD seats and with Eichorst being gone that Moos just took over. Does anyone use the seats?
  8. At least until the end of the year. Actually does he? Most every game TO sat (and still does) with the fans in the 100 level. Eichorst had seats in the 100 level. Not a clue about Moos as he's been a no show publicly at the games.
  9. https://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/mens-basketball/prolific-green-lighting-up-juco-opponents-ready-to-make-a/article_29b4ceb5-9f98-5f78-91d5-99d3a6603cd2.html Hope his scoring isn't diminished too much at the U. Holy cow!
  10. I've gotta be honest, I haven't been to a high school basketball game since I was in High School back in the 80's...but since the topic here is HS Basketball. Thoughts on Shot Clock? I just figured that they had one. https://journalstar.com/sports/high-school/basketball/girls/huskers-coach-tim-miles-in-favor-of-shot-clock-for/article_faafaf39-096e-5166-bc75-18274eda76ac.html
  11. I kind of find the food funny. With the no Runza thing at PBA and the McDonalds tie ins this year with the various sports since McDonalds is a Coke place while the Huskers are strictly Pepsi. That being said...I gotta remember to take something for heartburn to the game if I ever have one I’ve those Three Little Pig sandwiches. Tasted great but it was a killer after.
  12. Thanks for the information guys. I appreciate it. I figured this was the case on the game but wasn’t sure.
  13. A friend and I were discussing this game yesterday...and were wondering what the reason is for playing it. I see that other teams (including big 10 schools) have played there before, but outside of a game what's in it for the team financially? Are they getting paid big bucks? I'd think it would it would be hard to get paid a lot given that there's only around 3500 seats in the place and tickets are not that much. It's not a home and home series...and hell if it was, I think simply from the nostalgia standpoint of the old big 8 it would sell out...just like the Kansas game. Hopefully we get these guys and ISU on the non conference home schedule in the next few years. I'd love to be able to see some of the old rivals from the Big 8 at the Vault.
  14. It is going to be interesting...as I said in another post Moos seems to have little interest in anything not football related outside of stating an expectation or telling a national championship volleyball coach how great they did. Is he going to be able to hire a basketball coach if the season necessitated or will he have Marc Bohem do the job....or hell will we go through the same thing the football program went through and be looking for a new AD (as someone on the board hinted at) followed by a new basketball coach? Outside of football I have little faith in an AD that seems to take very little interest in other sports outside of hiring and firing of coaches.
  15. According to this article Swain did both Basketball and football. https://columbustelegram.com/swain-to-leave-nebraska-broadcast-booth/article_4c4fc764-767f-5043-947f-ff5d832ba474.html
  16. yup...and he was at a lot of the Men's games as he sat down a few rows from me.
  17. Probably about as much involvement as he has with tennis and golf. He's the hitman in that he can hire and fire...but other than that little to no involvement. I'm guessing he's going to be hands on with football and just leave it to the people below him to deal with anything involving other sports.
  18. I think there was mention last season of him attending a game but he was in the box seats. I could be mistaken (and probably am) but I don't think he's made one game in a public fashion. Any presentations on the floor have been done my Mark. Seems like Mark and Bill made it to all the presentations at the football games.
  19. Not an issue...but just curious. Would Kent's thing been a good time for Moos to make an appearance at a basketball game? Mark Boehm is important and all, but is a Moos appearance at basketball meaningful or is he just going to be a football only AD for appearances?
  20. I don't think they can....it's all due to that girl getting injured years ago. I could be mistaken on this, but I think I recall that the U would lose it's insurance coverage if they brought the guys back. I think the days of "DEFENSE! DEFENSE!" chants are gone.
  21. If Boehm retires...could they move Miles into Boehm's spot and hire a new coach? Or would Miles want to stay as a coach here or somewhere else? I'd think if he wasn't a basketball coach here...he'd be an amazing PR man.
  22. Less dudes in the photo and lots more bikinis would help. lol...just saying.
  23. lol.for all we know the final four and the spring game he's talking about might not even be in the same year. And hell...maybe he's going to announce his retirement/resignation instead.
  24. So he will address the media sometime between right after the spring game and right before the first game of the season.
