Didn't get to watch much before having to get to work, but from the box, my first thoughts on how we could've lost this: Outrebounded by 10, but that's kinda part of our reality and didn't seem egregious. Didn't include any Oreb. And second, and this one has me steaming: looks like we got screwed by some home whistles on the FT disparity, and badly! Ffs, 28 - 7 free throws? That's ridiculous. Not like I haven't seen it before though. Looking at the score later I just assumed we lost one on the road, which is the norm in this conference, you're not gonna lose a ton in resume from this but that doesn't make it hurt me less. Ugh. Seems like a rule, that even if you get out of Piscataway with a win, they'll beat you up and you'll escape with a pyrrhic victory. You'll probably lose a guy along the way. Brutal. And every time nebraska goes there, it's the same story, same way we lose - - getting out rebounded, out hustled, and usually they play more disciplined overall and embarrass us. Doesn't matter what lead you have, they usually come back.

theres GOOD reason everyone hates playing in piscataway, and why its almost impossible to win there. and also why its so hard to win on the road in the BIG. you really have to play disciplined and mature, AND shoot well to win away. seems only the tough teams and elite teams are able to do it consistently.

its super annoying, because this is the kinda game you "easily" win by simply playing solid ball and rebounding! the cold streak didnt help, but how much momentum did they gain from all the Orebs and scrappy plays that got the crowd back in the game????? GAAHHHHHH

really hate to see this... we looked great and some bad decisions and that tough NJ home crowd. doesnt matter how shit they are, youre always gonna get a raucous home adv in that tiny gym. credit to them, but its annoying AF. hate playing there

Yeah, I have a beef to pick with the big ten schedulers. Idk if it's just us, and Januarys are usually hectic like this, but ffs this is brutal. No rest, all opponents get extra day of prep. But all that said, no excuses. We fought in the first half, but I'm mad. The defense was so piss - poor, there's no excuse. Just like we've had to learn how to win, we have to learn to win on the road, at least sometimes. It's disappointing too, since that was an empty arena and likely a beat shot at beating them away. Oh well.

I love mast and allick more each time I see them, the hustle! Maybe it's the hair, but allick reminds me of the good parts of joakim Noah - - hustle and heart. Husker fans love that shit!

Knock on wood, no jinxes, but I love to see that Fred might finally have delivered a disciplined, good free throw hitting team. I've been impressed so far.

Saw the train wreck in person, it wasn't pretty but kudos to our defense. And from what Fred said post-game, rider is one of those experienced elite mid majors who will probably win their conf and be in the tourney. Hope to see us shoot better, the arena was dead but that's expected early year. Hard to cheer for that basketball - - ugly ugly. but I love the defense and I hope ppl learn to appreciate good basketball, good defense.

You never were so weird all these years I've known you on the board, but here we are. This is kinda out of nowhere, idk how an opinion on bad refs gets pushback especially on this board. Lol wtf
